“We had always heard of this place and decided to give it a try. The food was great and the service was ok. We had the Michelada flight which included strawberry, mango, watermelon and lastly the regular one. They were all good but a little on the sweet side. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. He had no complains, the steak was nicely made. I had the madres chilaquiles which were also very good but a little on the spicy side. The birria on the chilaquiles was perfectly seasoned and soft. The portions here are HUGE, so make sure you come with a big appetite. All in all we would come again to try more of their dishes.“

“Lascaris’s never disappoints from there pizza to there sandwiches. Ordered the large Roast Beef, Ham and turkey sandwhich with cheese. The bread was nice and soft and came with mayo lettuce and tomatoes. The sandwhich also comes with a side to which I got the macaroni which was nice and creamy. Sandwiched and side totaled 15.50$ I also threw in some bbq chips for a 1.25$ more total came out to 16.75 which felt was pretty decent. I would definitely recommend Lascaris to anyone looking for fresh yummy Italian food.“

Everything in New China is cooked on request, so the food is fresh. Some dishes can take an hour, two, or three hours to prepare. So order your food about one to two hours ahead when you want to pick it up, and they will prepare it for that time so it is hot off the wok.

We love this place. We discovered it earlier this month, in January 2025, and have already been twice as a group of six. We order way too much food to sample, which still comes under $30 per person.

This is the absolute freshest, tastiest Chinese food around. One of our couples has been eating Chinese around the Whittier area for over 30 years, and they were also there for the first time this month. They were jonesing to go back so soon. We still need to try the moo shu pork. I need to order that one 3 hours ahead of time.

One woman does everything out front, and two or three men cook in the back. The last time we arrived, two other couples were dining, and the service was excellent. That night, there was a notice on the door that said no drop-in take-out (see above about ordering ahead). Service can be slower if several groups arrive simultaneously, but the food is well worth it. If you want, you can take your time at this restaurant with a dinner lasting two or three hours and won't be rushed out. It's a great place to go as a group or a couple.“

I stopped by Chicken Koop in Whittier the other day, and I’m still thinking about it. The naan bread alone is worth the visit—so soft, warm, and fresh, it’s basically impossible to stop eating it.

The team here is awesome, too. Everyone’s super friendly and makes you feel welcome, like they’re happy to have you there. It’s just one of those places where you can tell they care about what they’re doing.

The level of customer service is beyond compare to any place we’ve ever been, toys for the kids, complementary dessert for them, all on top of the most delicious Thai food we’ve ever had. “Went after walking around the dia de los muertos event. Waited about 20 mins for a table but we had to drop off some stuff at our cars anyway and on our way back they texted our table was ready so we didn't really "wait for a table". I loved the mole enchiladas so tasty and sweet and the queso fundido is amazing ? I forgot what the drink that i got was called but it was really good. Tasted like a mangonada to me with the chamoy rim. They delivered the drink in a coffin shaped box and had a very cute presentation that I loved. Service was great, our server was really nice and she kept checking in on us to make sure we were good. Loved the atmosphere! Music they were playing was fun and they also have the sport games on their big screens if you wanna catch a game somewhere. We noticed when other tables got drinks and they all looked very good and loved the spooky vibes they do with them. They also come out with a hype team to sing you happy birthday and give you birthday shots. Very fun place to go especially with groups.“
