“I’ve been to El Cantaro in Monterey about 10 times! I’m looking forward to going to the Sacramento version of this restaurant today! That has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I love the fact that it doesn’t say vegan plant-based and all that stuff everywhere. It’s basically just a Mexican restaurant that happens to be Vegan. Can’t wait to come and visit!”

I won't be needing the other Acai place, this will be my go to place instead. more vegan options, better toppings (loved the cashew crunch typing), and they didn't charge extra for nut-butters. “We just wanted to post how much we enjoyed dinner tonight. We were a party of four, I had your Dine Elk Grove special dinner, my wife the sausage, the other couple the burger and Sauerbraten. We all enjoyed both our meals and the beers! Typical, fresh fried German food, excellent sides and a great selection of beers! The strudel with whipped cream was the way to end the meal. The highlight was truly our server, Kylee! She has a larger than life personality and was really fun to banter with. She really made the experience fun….we’ll be back for sure, most likely on a Wednesday night Which we understand is the one night a week she works. If in Elk Grove, give them a try. “Delicious pizza (we had the heirloom tomatoes with bacon) and it was so hot when I got to take it home and my kids and I were super impressed by the flavors and size. One of the best pizzas in Sacramento.”

“The Mix Up food truck! I ordered the kabob plate of a ribeye kabob and a lamb kabob. Mmmm, the kabobs were delicious. Big, hunky cuts of tender, flavorful meat; all grilled to perfection. The folks working the truck were fantastic. Big, fun personalities.

What initially caught my eye was the very dramatic graphic design on the truck. It looked like a vintage movie poster with a woman in Mexican traditional garb and Arab man individually both looking contemplatively into the distance. As I walked closer, I found out they were selling Arab and Mexican food with their signature dish being their famous ribeye kabob.

I ordered the kabob plate. It came with two kabobs, rice, salad,hummus and pita bread. $22. Yup, that price point may have you thinking twice but I was able to get two meals out of this plate. The kabob serving size was huge. I chose the ribeye and lamb kabobs. Chicken was the other option. They weren't stingy on the protein serving. The meats are actual cuts of filets, not ground meat. It was tender, flavorful with a great grill to it. Instead of rice, I asked for double the salad. The salad was fresh tasting and vibrant looking. The hummus was packed with a garlicky punch.”

This "Dutchies" location has exactly one drawback, navigating the ingress/egress of access. Where are these cones going? Can you turn in off El Camino, can you not? LOL.

Despite being located immediately across from El Camino High School with heavy traffic intermittently throughout the day and students bombarding the staff regularly in large groups, staff are fast and efficient, upbeat and busting with cheerful, perky, customer service forward attitudes. Occasionally, they'll have the music flowing, BUT it's at a tolerable volume. Other locations, Woodland, for example, crank up the volume on the exterior facility music so loudly, you can't hear others inside your own vehicle speak to you even with your windows up. I like loud music but that's ridiculous.

At this location, the staff ALWAYS get my order correct, always offer "sip stoppers" to prevent spilling, offer carry trays when appropriate, and ask me, "How's your day going?"

All in all, you get great fresh coffee delights served with a friendly smile at a decent price quickly. That's how it's supposed to be.

“First time here, I had the Xtreme burger, it had a nice little spicy kick to it. Delicious! French fries are nice and crispy. I love the small paper bag the fries were in, fits perfect in my cupholder of my truck. Took a chance on the baklava and it was delicious! I’m definitely going back to try some of their other plates.”
