“Yay ... downtown Winters has a bakery again. Upper Crust Bakery took over the building that was vacant. The previous tenant was also a local bakery. It is great news that the the Davis based bakery expanded and landed in the neighboring town of Winters. Currently they are in their soft opening. I dropped on by several weekends ago. The staff was fantastic. They had enthusiastic attitudes and contagious smiles. They sell fresh baked breads, scones, cinnamon rolls, croissants, doughnuts, fancy single serve desserts, cookies, pretzels, danishes, etc. etc. During the week for lunch, they sell sandwiches $10 and salads $8. I bought a pretzel, confetti frosted cake doughnuts, and a lemon cookie. Ooooh everything was delicious. The pretzel had a crisp, glossy brown exterior sprinkled with coarse salt. The doughnuts weren't overly sweet considering they were frosted. They had a nice dense cakey texture. The cookie had a hint of true lemon taste. Everything tasted great. However, the prices are pricier than the previous bakery. But on par to the Davis location. The small town of Winters is on Route 128 and off interstate 505. Route 128 goes west to Lake Berryessa and towards to St Helena and Calistoga. Interstate 505 connects Interstates 5 and 80.“
“Hooby’s is a great spot in Winters to grab a bite to eat, drink a cold beer and be with friends and family (fur family too—a leashed cat is even a regular visitor!) The Stocking family are phenomenal folks who treat their guests like true friends. Whether you enjoy live music, cornhole, trivia or Bingo, Hooby’s has something for people of all ages. Check out their farm during the Spring and Summer for food trucks, live music and farm animals!“
“Fantastic venue and good beer. I love coming here after a day at Lake Berryessa. Also there are some great pictures behind the bar, very accurate portraits. My main concern is that the rainbows are rare and infrequent. When they are there, it’s truly magical. When they aren’t, it’s quite disappointing. Please work to make your rainbows more consistent.“
“My favorite winery in all of Napa Valley even though it's technically Yolo County. Fabulous wine! $15/person tasting. Finally joined the Wine Club! Great location downtown Winters for dinner after your tasting at Buckhorn or Preserve or Ficelle. Just lovely!“
“We were a last-minute big group, and the manager made it happen. It was amazing. The carbonara was one of the best I've ever had! My friends also enjoyed the short rib, burger and sole. We had two small children and the restaurant was great about it. And the lemon semifreddo was delicious!“
“The place accommodated a small company team meal for us including personalized attentive service from Victoria in making arrangements. The team arrived and enjoyed wonderful service. The environment is well decorated and fitting to the cuisine and surroundings. The location in the quaint downtown of Winters creates a wonderful feeling and the food was excellent. Their charbroiled seasoned tri tip is truly mouth watering“
“I love the coffee at Steady Eddy's. The service is always friendly and helpful, and sitting outside people watching is super relaxing. I wish I was able to get by there more often (I'm not local and its a passing through kind of stop for me).“
“Nice little place. I make it a point to stop here when I travel north. Coffee is good and the breakfast is delicious. Super friendly staff that greets you with a smile. If you're on I-5 near winters and want to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, I highly recommend Steady Eddy's“
“Yet another amazing day at green river brewing! The food is always delicious, me and my husband have never eaten anything we did not like, the service is always fabulous, we have had minor inconveniences with food times/ our food tickets not making it to the kitchen but both times the manager Amanda was the one to help up and she is more than accommodating (great attitude), Thank you for running such an amazing family friendly brewery.“
“The ambiance of this small town cafe reminds me of a lot of the small hometown cafes growing up. Servers with smiles and always topping you off. The red brick, farmhouse style with indoor/outdoor tables & diner barstool seating. The food was delicious and creative. Every time I have some they have always met my appetite They weren’t afraid to customize my favorite eggs Benedict order with some fried chicken. I cameIn after hiking the Berryessa, starving. The California burger, sweet potatoes fries and libations hit the spot! When I try think of Sunday brunch, this is the only spot I think of!!Enjoy!!“
