“The Punjabi Dhaba in Dixon is delightful for its lack of pretense and good food. It is located at a freeway exit and the entrance to the restaurant is quite dangerous at night. Regardless, it is nice to find good north Indian food in the Sacramento area which has surfeit of bad Indian restaurants. The restaurant is convenient for truckers and hence is called a Dhaba. We ordered Chole, sag paneer, chicken biryani and mango lassi. All the dishes were tasty and not too spicy. It was the best Punjabi food we had eaten in some time. It was also a good value. The restaurant was fairly empty when we went there on a weekday evening and the surroundings were simple, but quite serviceable. A very nice dinner experience.“

“My fiancé took me here for dinner I am pregnant and was craving something new and spicy we had the goat curry and the lamb curry with the garlic naan the food was absolutely amazing this was my first time ever eating Indian food I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who asks. The service was amazing the waiter kept making sure we had everything that we needed and that we enjoyed our meal“

“This place is delicious and cozy. The food is amazing and the staff is too. We like to hit this place on the weekend and it’s always a good sign that there is a wait. Nice to have breakfast or lunch and then stroll the streets of Winters. Many great spots like the Cafe. Buckhorns for dinner is always a great way to finish a day in Winters.“
