“Let me just start by saying the food was fabulous! We ordered the flatbreads and the beef tacos. The absolute only negative I found was this: We had a reservation @ 5 pm, which is when they open. Needless to say, we were the only ones seated at a table. The other early birds were around the bar. One of our party was seated directly in the path of a vent that was blowing air very strongly at his head. We asked if we could please be moved to another table. Thinking this would be no problem at all, we were shocked when we were told that it was not possible! Again, the place was basically empty. We were told that they were fully booked for the evening. We asked two times to be moved. Negative on both accounts. The third time I said we might have to leave because we were not comfortable. This time they reluctantly moved us to a booth, where we were told we needed to leave by 6:30. Not a problem - it was only 5 pm! (Note: we did notice another couple they had seated at our original table complained as well. Since there were only two of them, they were able to just change seats at the same table to avoid the draft.). Again, the food was fantastic! But the lack of concern for our comfort and the refusal to make it right immediately left a bad taste....“

“I used the app for the first time and was successful in ordering a couple of smoothies for pick up at a specific time. THe smoothies were ready when I walked in and pick up was fast and efficient.
The third party app needs serious work. It has serious issues compared to other take out restaurant apps.“

“There was an event earlier in the morning and I got a coupon for a free 2-pack cinnamon rolls so it was perfect that I was planning to go for dinner that same day! Cinnamon rolls were yummy and I love the fact that the icing comes separate since I’m not the biggest fan of sugary icing. I tried a different dish, Pasta primavera and added grilled chicken. This was good and would recommend it. Their side salad was yummy, had all the good toppings and at the end, my family ordered peach pie and sadly they ran out! This is a seasonal item so they were very disappointed. But it just goes to show you that it’s popular and to reserve it once you get seated because my family actually called ahead and asked if it was available and it was but after we ate, they sold out!“

“HI, I have to be honest. I was trying to find a way to contact Flappy Jacks as I have a proposition I think would be perfect for Flappy Jacks I have what is probably a bit of an unusual idea. Or maybe just a good idea. I know it is an unusual way to contact you but there was no email address. So I hope this works. I am from Columbia Missouri and I am visiting my Son, Grand Kids, and family there, just a few blocks to the East of Tustin. I am a musician, part time, and I like to street busk (play music on the streets) for grins. I noticed your nostalgic decor and your Elvis statues and the mural featuring the St Louis Arch, which is in Missouri on the Mississippi, of course, where I am from, and the 1930s, 40s and 50s nostalgia, and I wondered if you ever considered, or entertained the notion of having a little nostalgic live music, every now and then, perhaps even if only just once as an experiment. I just happen to play that old classic blues from that era, mostly, at least in this capacity, as Mr. Fletcher's One Man Blues Band. And I thought we might make a pretty good match up. As I said, at least, as an experiment. You can check me out at Facebook "Keith Fletcher, musician." Though most of that music is from my original music shows, and not my one man blues sets. I noticed you had a nice patio area where I could play outside and it might be a nice treat for your customers to have a bit of entertainment, just for a change of pace. They might really appreciate it since they obviously like your atmosphere. I don't play loud music. Unless folks want that, but I prefer to play soft. Or at least in situations like this. I've been the house band for BBQ joints and restaurants on several occasions. So I am familiar with the proper decorum. Mostly I was just looking for a little music adventure in CA within a walking distance of my Son's house, where I could carry a very tiny amp about the size of a cracker box, and my guitar to a gig. I thought maybe about just doing a street gig but saw your venue and something seemed to click. I hope you think so too. I estimate you are about a mile walking distance from his house and I only need an electrical plug. And probably some cool beverages. Like I said, I'm mostly in it for a small musical adventure, and so will play for tips, though, maybe you can pay me with free cold beverages, especially if it is hot, and maybe a sandwich or meal depending on how long I am there. It all looks delicious to me. If you find you'd like to host me again, and want me back, that might be possible over the week, and I may be back for the Christmas holiday. I might even be able to talk my Son into bringing the kids and family. Could be a total bust, or could be a very nice thing, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Who knows? If it worked out well enough for both of us, you might even want to do it again sometime, Maybe even offer some kind of fee next time, if there is a next time. Life is an adventure. You / we, might stumble onto something good. If you would like to give it a whirl, what day and time would you think is good to catch a crowd? “The pizza overall is decent, I've had better, but the crust is pretty great. They have creative pizzas like an Indian curry style pizza and a spicy Thai style pizza. The Indian curry pizza was decent, but I would have preferred more sauce and toppings. This time I got the Meat Lovers pizza and largely felt the same about it. The only off putting things about the place is that there's a TV playing a loop of a weird program "The Supreme Master", which gave me strong cult vibes. Updated from previous review on 2025-11-21“

“I’ve door dashed this twice already. Order 4 different meals and all were super delicious. Not only that, because it’s healthy, I feel great after eating it. Definitely satisfys the craving of Mexican food but you still want to eat healthy. Palmita is my new favorite place locally.
My only additional feedback is that I wish there was just a little more meat in the meals. It’s only about two ounces of chicken. Most people need 4-8 ounces per meal.“
