“Shawn, our waiter, was knowledgeable, gracious and informative. The oyster mushrooms were outstanding-served with a citrus aioli and a dash of chili oil. Fabulous. My dining partner had a perfectly executed Wagu beef burger with pt Reyes blue cheese and bacon.“

“Of all the places to get a quick bite to eat in Yosemite, this was our first choice. The Chicken Enchilada Soup was great. The chili was pretty good, too, but they don't sell bags of Fritos here. Could have made me a Frito Pie. The sandwiches were good, but the husband complained that the bread is a little too thick. Got some beignets from Peets. Yum!
They have snacks and drinks. Cashier was always nice. No long lines here. Plenty of places to eat, inside and out.“

“I come to Yosemite almost every October. I camp at Housekeeping Camp and always treat myself to a dinner at the Mountain Room. Maybe if I was booked at the lodge, I'd expect the resort to have a restaurant as good as the Mountain Room. But as a camper who spends all day hiking, having dinner at the Mountain Room is like heaven on earth. I think it's one of Yosemite Valley's best kept secrets! This year, the hostess was sweet and adorable. My waiter was very nice too. But I was especially impressed by my salmon dish. From what I understand, you have a new menu, and in my opinion this dish is a keeper. I've never said this before to anyone ever, but “my compliments to the chef!” The fish was cooked to perfection. The micro greens were lovely and tasty. The green sauce was AMAZING. The rice was unusually delicious, and the al dente carrots were superb. I have three (minor) criticisms: 1. You should be able to figure out a way for a single diner to order bread t having to order enough bread for four people. 2. The French onion soup was fine, but not nearly as delicious as my server led me to believe. When I tucked into it, it squirted broth all over my table. This made a bit of a mess . When I pointed out the spray of broth all over my table, my server was duly amused but he really ought to have summoned someone to wipe it away. I felt like I was dining in the midst of a small mess for my entire meal. 3. There's nothing wrong with the pumpkin dessert roll, but it essentially tastes exactly like carrot cake, and it had way too much frosting and felt more like a breakfast pastry. It's tasty but too rich, and not a very sophisticated dessert. Above all, I love the Mountain Room!“

“Really very good!!! I really recommend this place, I had tenders with fries and it was really very good, in addition to being very fast and the young man at the cash register was friendly and friendly.
Parking: When we went there we had to park at the other end of the car park, a 10 minute walk from the Village Grill.“

“Beautiful - Historical - Attentive The Ahwahnee is an amazing dining experience, but you pay for it. The food and service was spectacular, however if you are into views of nature, architecture and history, that will blow you away. I ate breakfast there, cheapest meal of the day plus no dress code requirement, I dressed in my best shirt and shorts I had packed, I was dressed similar to most others. (Dress code for dinner) We had to choose the buffet. There was a good amount of selection on the buffet, but I've typically seen more selection, still what they did have was everything you would want and top shelf. If I get the chance to go to Yosemite again, I am going back to the Ahwahnee, maybe I'll bring clothes for the evening and plenty of cash.“

“While the Yosemite site says that reservations are strongly suggested, we did see open tables and saw groups without them being seated. Online also says there is a dress code but we overheard this was no longer the case. Surprisingly nice cocktails and menu-better than standard fare. Friendly service.“
