“This was my experience from a few years ago....The fish was good... but the chicken was terrible. Square hard chunks with grease oozing out... crab cakes are half the size for twice the price.... the clerk was pretty impatient... heard her argue with a man that came in asking for a fork to eat his coleslaw... claiming she already put one in.... but he couldn't find it. She still claimed to have put one in the bag already....

“I was very shocked that I was able to have seafood in Linda California and not get food poisoning. On the contrary it was actually very good, comparatively to Joe's Crab shack. Definitely a hole in the wall, but I would eat here again.“

“This has been our new favorite spot for Chinese food since we moved to Plumas Lake. The food is delicious, fair prices, great portions, and the workers are SO nice! We picked up dinner here tonight and our exchange student said it was just like in Hong Kong and made him feel like he was back home 🥹❤️ He can’t wait to go back. If that’s not a 5 star review from someone from China, I don’t know what is 🤷🏻♀️“

“Edit: After ordering again several times, they’ve become more consistent. Our order was incomplete on UberEats. They did not add tofu to our mixed vegetables like we had specified, and our vegetable tempura was very overly salty. I will most likely not order from here again however it is one of the very few restaurants that deliver to Plumas Lake via UberEats.
I would highly suggest trying the vegetable tempura with less salt.“

“Just had another great meal at Council Oak on Sunday (5/10/26). It was excellent, as usual. Not only was the food great, the people always take such good care of us (special shout out to Maria and Livvy, great job ladies!) After a long day working Mother's Day, we saw no let down on the food or service. You could tell the staff had been working their butts off and were tired, but it did not stop them, real troopers. It is our favorite place for fine dining in the area, and will remain so as long as they keep it up like the other night. Excellent! Don't pass up the Bananas Foster, not only is it a great show, it is SOOOO yummy!“

“Hannelore is an outstanding waitress! There are tvs throughout the dining area and my husband noticed CNFR rodeo on the other side of the dining area. We are great rodeo fans and asked if the tv on our side could be changed from football to the rodeo. She wasn't sure she'd be able to but after a few minutes we were also watching the rodeo! She was attentive and pleasant. And very considerate.
Food was good, fresh and hot. The salad bar was filled with fresh goodies. Glad we're getting reacquainted with Sizzler.
The hostess (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was very pleasant, cheerful and accomodating. My husband didn't want the rice that came with his entree. No complaints.“
