“My husband and I booked a reservation here for his birthday dinner while staying on property at the Ritz Carlton. Our one-of-a-kind server’s name was Anna and the amazing bartender‘s name was Michael who made us one of Chris’s famous drinks. Anna knew more about sushi and sake than anyone else I know. She kindly guided us through menu recommendations based on our likes and dislikes she asked us to share. She even challenged us by bringing a couple of tastes from the menu of items we never would’ve ordered on our own, yet absolutely LOVED. The black cod cannot be missed as well as the tuna crispy rice. We had such an amazing experience with the best service and the best food imaginable. Thank you to Anna and the entire Sakaba service and culinary team. We will be back! 🤤“

“This was the only decent place with vegan options in Vail. The food was relatively tasty and not overpriced. I got the Buddha Roll (ask for eel sauce to be excluded), avocado and cucumber rolls, and the veg gyoza. Would recommend! Updated from previous review on 2026-07-30“

“We made reservations almost 1 month in advance for Monday 8/24/26 for dinner and was called weeks later to cancel our reservation because they would be closed M-T-W that week. Asked if I wanted to reschedule for Thursday. We already made dinner reservations for every night of our trip CO so I had to rearrange our dinner reservations and so I called back to schedule for 8/27 Thursday. When we arrived at the grand Hyatt Vail on Monday 8/24/26, the restaurant was open and running Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday- No one had any information as to why our reservations were cancelled. Food was great and server was great. Host and hostesses were tolerable.“

“I had Christmas dinner here in 2022. It was a lovely meal. Pricey for sure - but that's what you get when you're looking for quality, the kind of ingredients they're using, and dining in the Vail Valley. I have dietary restrictions due to medical issues, and they were happy to accommodate me, and did so wonderfully. Service was a bit slow, but we were checking in on constantly, and the waitress was lovely. All of the sushi was delicious, and the white chocolate bread pudding was to die for.
Dietary restrictions: Good options for gluten free, and vegetarian diners.“

“This tiny Thai/Chinese restaurant in Vail (Lion's Head) is a total hidden gem. With only about eight tables, it feels cozy and intimate — almost like you’ve been invited into someone’s home for dinner. So glad that we stumbled upon it!
We were only in Vail for five days and ate here twice because it was that good. The Tom Yum Soup was the best I’ve ever had (and I live in the DC area, where great Thai food is easy to find). Every dish was packed with flavor and felt authentic and comforting.
If you’re expecting resort-level ambiance and polished service, this isn’t that. It’s casual, welcoming, and all about the food. And the food alone makes it absolutely worth it — especially after a long day on the mountain.“
