The fish here is amazing…so fresh and of such high quality, we come quite often. We also love the agadashi tofu, which always reminds us of our time spent in Japan. The staff is wonderful and the fact that there is rarely any turnover speaks highly of the owners, Uki and Keizo, who were both born in Japan and are highly trained in their craft. We highly recommend AOI and find the prices very reasonable for the quality.
Awesome sushi. Definitely the best in Boulder we’ve had. Half of the patrons were Japanese also. Traditional and authentic.
I want to start by giving a shout-out to one of the waiters, Nan. She was not our primary waiter, however she was super kind and helpful! I was finding a bit loud in the restaurant and so I asked her if I could wait outside. Not only did she say yes, but also let me take up one of their outside tables. The food was good and the ABA Shioyaki Grilles Mackrel with sea salt was excellent!!!
