The shoestring fries that came with the sandwich were good and had some pepper on them. As with other J. Alexander sites, the place can be a bit dark. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately.“

Is it the best steak you're ever going to eat? No. But their filet mignon is incredible and, at only $37, for the price, the best steak I've every had. Their drinks are very good as well. The Crispy Fried Dumplings are amazing. The best I've found so far. And the sauce that come with them? I could drink a whole cup of it, it's that good.I also get their Chicken Lo Mein. It always comes out hot and fresh. The vegetables are crisp, the chicken moist, and the noodles have just the right chewiness and the flavor is spot on.I've also tried their Pork Fried Rice and the Cream Cheese Wontons. Both are very good as well, but Lo Mein and Dumplings are my go-to.It's carry out or delivery only, but every time I'm in, they're busy with orders. Despite this, I always get my order quickly and piping hot. The staff are friendly and it's always nice to have a quick conversation with them.I highly recommend New China Cafe.“

If someone is trying to get details about an item or tell the staff about their food restrictions, they might want to ask for someone who understands English, use a translation app or learns Spanish before going. “The food is the star of the show here. Korma, Masala, Saag, Curry, Biryani…we have tried nearly all of the staples on the menu and they are all excellent. The flavors deliver, but the execution doesn’t get enough credit in the reviews. We have never had an overcooked piece of chicken, lamb or beef in the many dozens of times we have ordered from here. The consistency of the execution and flavors makes this a local gem worth supporting again and again.“

It was a seamless process of ordering through a kiosk and the food comes very quickly. The owner keeps interacting with the customers and keeps offering free food to the people who visit the restaurant. We ordered falafel sandwich, falafel rice bowl and falafel burrito and the owner happily made us try the lentil soup which was so soothing to the stomach as we were really hungry. The portion size were great and the food was too delicious. Will definitely recommend if anyone is visiting in the town.“

I normally get the spicy aioli but I went for their moke mix which is a combination of spicy mayo, spicy shoyu, and classic. The flavor was good. The atmosphere was typical Mexican restaurant but clean and welcoming. The staff were all incredibly friendly and interested in making sure each customer had a good experience.
