“My wife and I spent the night in town on our way back to Washington. We arrived in town late and wanted something different than fast food. We chose J.W. Snacks because we saw that they offered catfish and are we ever so glad we did. The interior was eclectic but charming with signs and memorobelia covering the walls. The moment we walked in the door we were made to feel at home by the owner and shown a table. The waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to making sure we had everything we needed. We started with the 10 piece shrimp appetizer and drinks. We shared the 5pc. catfish filets and added fried okra, hush puppies, Cajun corn, potato salad and waffle fries topped off with a piece of coconut pie with pecans. Everything was very delicious, well prepared and came quickly. We highly recommend this place and want to express our gratitude for taking care of these two weary travelers!!“
