“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

We opted for the walk with us option so the chefs could take the reigns and it did not disappoint. The wagyu was melt in your mouth, cod was delicious, pave, liver mousse, all such great complimentary flavors throughout the courses all the way to the end with the miso ice cream. My family and I flew in from Houston for a Thanksgiving week getaway, and after hearing great things about The Original, we decided to try it out. Let me just say—we were not disappointed!

Our server, Ray D., was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. The food was phenomenal—everything came out fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared.

Ray D. truly made our dining experience memorable, and we highly recommend him and this restaurant to anyone visiting Denver. If you’re looking for great service and amazing food, this is the place to be. Five stars from me and my family“

“On our way home from Denver to the Springs, we stopped for a bite to eat and by chance I found this little spot. It was AMAZING. Everything we had was perfection. 🤌🏼 From the margaritas, entrees and even the dessert and not to mention our WONDERFUL waitress Georgina. Haven’t left a restaurant this satisfied in a LONG time. As someone that eats a lot of sandwiches, I can promise you that this place does some of the best I've ever had. Excellent service, knowledgeable and helpful staff (thanks, Luke!), they offer cooking classes with the Michelin chef, and do catering as well. Stop in for a sandwich, impress a date, grab some house cured meats, but whatever you do GO BE OVER HERE.“

“I’m from Chicago and love gourmet dining in that city. Imagine my surprise when I entered the wine bar at Satchel’s with a group of friends to be seated for a wedding luncheon that began with the first of seven tasting courses of food that was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Andrew, the chef/owner, is not only innovative with ingredients, but he and his staff really care about their customers’ pleasure and comfort. If I am ever able to return to the Denver area again, Satchel’s will be my first go-to destination. The luncheon was 1st class all the way.“

“This is a hidden gem of Denver and as the name states - it will REVIVE you! This is a breath of fresh air for the neighborhood. try the gumbo, the Revival burger, and DEFINITELY go listen to all the amazing musicians that grace this place. The drink menu and specialty cocktails will knock your socks off. Do yourself a favor and give it a go. You will be happy you did.“

“This is the second time I've been here and both times I was so impressed with the attentiveness of the staff and how willing they are to take the time to get you a cocktail that's perfect. There are lots to choose from, so they're happy to guide you and they'll also ask what you like and cheerfully recommend something from a past menu if it seems like a fit. The food is also outstanding. Both times I've gotten the ciabatta and I craved it for days after. Last night we also got the deviled eggs (so creamy!), scallops, and latkes, all delicious. The speakeasy aspect is cute the first time but since we got there when it opened this time it was kind of silly because everyone was crowded into the tiny room up front and had to move back every time they opened the door. Once you're in, though, everything is cozy and charming and lovely. Afterwards, we went to the Occidental next door and the staff was equally delightful. I haven't experienced such cheerful and helpful waitstaff probably ever.“

Eva is a excellent mixologist. Johnny was extremely helpful when deciding what food to order and Reese handled a 10 person table with ease.

You can either sit inside or sit outside . The drinks are good . The bartender knew his stuff . Chairs were comfy too . Would definitely recommend checking this place out“

“we were in the area for a mini vacation (my sister and i). initially we were walking to the brunch nearby but as we were passing by, we changed our minds and went in. after seeing the cowboys game on, we sat down near the TV it was on. I asked if it was possible to change the TV behind my sister as well since we will be sitting across from one another. it was playing the Olympics races and nobody was watching (1 booth other than us and 4 people bar top). after it was changed, we ordered our food and drinks. a kitchen staff joked about the cowboys with friendly bantar before returning to the kitchen. shortly after, the general manager (I was unaware at the time) came from the kitchen and changed it again. I said excuse me several times to him and got 0 acknowledgement. the bartender shrugged his shoulders and looked away from me. I spoke to Anthony as there wasn't much time left on the game. Anthony attempted to talk to him and he said there were people watching the game. the game which was not put on until AFTER we requested the change. while I'm not one to sweat small stuff, I work in customer service and with 6 mins left on a preseason game, what's the harm? at least acknowledge me when I speak to you. let's come to an agreement. instead, I turned my chair around and waited to eat the appetizers sitting behind me on the table until the game was over (a whopping 4 mins) I don't get time to catch many games, was on vacation and wasn't being rude about it. i love sports and trust, I would've been stoked to catch the baseball game he changed it to AFTER the football game. and I would've been the only customer paying attention then too. so finally I was loud and thanked Anthony for his friendly demeanor and caring about his customers. I said it very loudly since I could not get acknowledgement when speaking politely and directly to him. what do ya know? now we hear me in the kitchen and have plenty to say. with music playing and food being prepared no less! I enjoyed the food. probably the best wings I've had in ages! the beer cheese soup was delicious. I enjoyed our waiter's customer care. without him, we would've walked out. food is top notch. caring about customers, not entirely priority. we don't visit often so it isn't a huge loss that we won't be returning because of one person. Definitely ask for Anthony if you do go!“

“I had the Brooklyn sandwich. I was hungry after getting off plane, losing my work hoodie, finding hoodie, then missing train to get to hotel. Then finding out 16th st Mall bus temporarily down. “I needed some wake up juice 1st before a training session. I walked to the corner where Starbucks used to be and found this little quaint shop. Walking in eight away i noticed the atmosphere was great. Olivia attended me and she was such a sweetheart right off the bat. Great smile and so friendly. To top it off she warned me about being sure if I wanted that extra shot and I am so glad I didn't. I would highly recommend this place for sure and make sure to say hi to Olivia.“

“We stayed at the Limelight Hotel for four nights and had breakfast at Ajax three mornings in a row. Every morning, my husband had the latte, and I had the cappuccino, both solid, but the real highlight was the care and execution from the kitchen staff.

On our first day, I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the scrambled eggs were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, clearly cooked low and slow with intention. The breakfast potatoes were crisp and plentiful. The next day’s omelet was just as delicious.

For our last evening, we ordered room service, and I finally tried the duck entrée I’d been eyeing all week. Even delivered to our room, the skin was beautifully crispy, and the smoky flavor was absolutely divine. You can tell the kitchen team takes real pride in their food. Highly recommend Ajax!“
