It doesn't seem like Black Rock to follow the trends of other coffee shops, that aren't worth mentioning 🙂. This recent thing of writing on the cups....I just want to enjoy my coffee, which is one of the best parts of my day, without having to read these messages. And coffee is a calming tool for me, so when they write chipper notes, it kind of ruins that. The coffee and service is outstanding here, which sets them apart. Hope they jump off the bandwagon with this.
Very cute coffee shop with friendly and kind staff who make delicious coffee (and non coffee). Love the atmosphere and ample space for working inside. The outdoor seating is in the shade in the mornings. Definitely recommend!
