“I have been ordering from New China Cafe for several years now. The food is some of the absolute best in Denver. Everything always comes out so fresh and the flavor is unparalleled. It is my favorite Chinese food in Denver.
Beyond the food, I have witnessed the owners and the staff go above and beyond every time for every customer. In the most genuine way, they make everyone feel like they are their number one customer! These days we take customer service for granted, but their hard work, kindness and service do not go unnoticed.
This will continue to be my go to Chinese food restaurant, not only because of the outstanding food, but because of the service!“

“Best scallops I have ever had. Great food, traditional Chinese. The restaurant is “older” don’t expect sleek Americanization. Focus on the great food.“

“Tried this place for the first time today and it was excellent! The customer service was genuinely so friendly. The woman who took our order was so lovely and helped me to find what gluten free options were available! I had the chicken and vegetables with white sauce. It was delicious, cooked perfectly, and very affordable given the quality!“

“Fantastic restaurant. Came here with a friend, just a quiet, unassuming restaurant on a Monday night.
The egg drop soup was delicious, rich in flavor with silky eggs. Prawns in lobster sauce had a wonderful flavor. Plenty of cashews (with an equal amount of celery) in the Cashew chicken. 10/10 for both dishes.“

“This is definitely a good Chinese scoop restaurant. The quality isn’t super like other Chinese restaurants but for the price and quantity it is ell worth and still taste pretty good. I wouldn’t mind coming here randomly here when I’m craving Chinese food just for a cheap meal.“

“Atmosphere is great! Service was excellent! Not loud like most big restaurants. Food was absolutely amazing! Not overly expensive. Make their dumplings fresh. Steak tenderloin and peppers was very good. Outdoor seating area is nice when it is warm. The winter pirk wonton soup is great. I have also never been disappointed with the seasonal vegetables (green beans, broccoli, bok choy). They serve soup dumplings ever so often and totally worth trying if they are available. They have an upstairs that you can reserve for parties as well. I have never been disappointed by anything I get here.“

“The owners of Wokano must have sold their souls to someone because I had an otherworldly experience eating this food. Best sesame tofu I’ve ever had. Tofu spring rolls pretty standard but they’re massive and come with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce.
They were happy to make the sesame tofu gluten free and they also have lots of vegan options.
Living close to this place is soon to bleed me dry but I can’t even act like I’m not ecstatic about it. I love you Wokano Asian Bistro.“

“I’ve been to P.f. chang’s numerous times but this one in Colorado has been the best! Especially Brycen, he has been my server every time at this location. He takes care of his guests so well. He is humorous and makes the experience so wonderful! 10/10 service from Brycen!!!!“

“I have to say, I've eaten Sesame Chicken all around the US, and never has anyone asked how spicy do I want it. I like alittle spice in my life. I got mine medium spicy, it's perfect. I also like a lot of broccoli, this has plenty of broccoli. The sauce and chicken are very flavorful too.“

“this place is a hole in the wall but is definitely a best kept secret. I didn't dine in but ordered some trays to create a family meal event at a studio and everyone loved the food! The catering sizes are done over the phone with someone English speaking who will call you back. When I picked up the order I used a Chinese translation app since the workers didn't speak English. They packed my eggrolls in plastic bag that caused them to sweat and got soggy so I asked them to warm it up in the oven to dry it out and they held their crisp in the pan for my party. I recommend having your own plates and serving utensils for a catering takeout. Sadly they did not have fortune cookies but made up for it by throwing in some yummy sesame balls with sweet bean filling. I drove to the nearest Panda Express to buy fortune cookies (super cheap) for my party 😂.The portions at Tasty House were very generous, affordable, and delicious 😋“

“it's really good place to go and eat but sometimes they get the ginger sauce mixed up with a different sauce and mess up ur order but the fix it most of the time“

“Good, almost great. The food is good but isn't very authentic and seems to lean heavily on salt and sugar to make it tasty. Having Chinese characters/Pinyin on the menu (where I was the only Chinese person in the entire restaurant) feels like the food should be authentic. Also, serving rice in a takeout container feels a little offensive given the sacredness of rice as the foundation of a Chinese meal.
However, the spice is nice and the flavors pop well if you're not expecting truly authentic flavors and are used to Westernized cuisine. Definitely above average for Asian food in Denver, but I'd recommend South Federal/Broomfield/Aurora for better and less expensive Asian food.
For the price and all the added service fees, I would have expected full service and food served in non-plastic dishes. It's a nice way to try some dishes without venturing out too far.“

“I am shocked that anyone would rate this place under 5 stars since people are just angry at life I guess. I've been eating here for years but far the best Chinese cuisine I've ever had and it never misses the mark. Small family run restaurant, very friendly and accommodating. Quiet atmosphere, and always far service with hot fresh terrific food. Egg rolls are the best in town and the chicken is always to shelf quality.“

“I am REALLY picky about my dumplings and these are made with artistry, TLC and genuine skill. This is NOT a dumpling factory like Din Tai Fung...these are made with real care and it's reflected in the taste and texture and try and braised beef noodle soup as well as the pork belly bao: Yum!“

“We greatly enjoyed Hong Kong Cafe. We had never been there and we found it on line and noticed that they had very good reviews. We had a great meal for 13 people. The service was courteous, fast and excellent and the food portions generous and delicious. I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.“

“Amazing. Better than places we went to in NYC and Washington DC area. This is authentic cooking that is relatable, flavorful, reasonably priced. Packed for lunch mid-week. Given the prices now of going out, ditch the hipster places and come here.“

“The food here has always been absolutely amazing! I have been coming here for probably 20+ years, and it looks like they have upgraded everything. But knowing that prices of everything has gone up anyway, the food here and the service are totally worth it! Thank you, Lotus K

“The dumplings are pretty good, but the chili oil is some of the best I’ve ever had, which they make in house. The girl who works the register is professional and efficient, and they are relatively quick with the food. Btw you can purchase a 16oz container of chili oil for $5 it’s lit“

“I ordered the Mongolian pork. It was very tasty and a little reminiscent of a favorite restaurant of mine from the '90s. The fried rice was so-so; if I were going again I'd just get steamed rice or brown rice. The egg roll was crisp and delicious. Definitely recommend. Only a few seats as this is clearly more of a takeout restaurant (also reminiscent of that '90s restaurant).“

“Always reliable and good! And no, I'm not related and writing this to help up their ratings. Been ordering and having food delivered from here for 10 years. So glad they didn't close when the original owners wanted to call it quits. The food has improved since and for being Asian I think pretty decent. And our foodie culture has made us expect such grand things from every restaurant when it's a hard business to be in.“

“Ordered delivery on a Saturday night and food arrived in 30 minutes piping hot! The Sesame chicken is unbelievably good! I’m dreaming of it and can’t wait to have it again. Portions are large and priced fairly. Finding good Chinese food in Denver is hard. Little Dragon is a respectable option.“

“If you want the best Chinese scoop this the place to go I eat Chinese 3 times a week and I've had it from arvada,Thornton, aurora, etc and this one by far has the most tasty and good options I think people have to understand different cultures and people just tend to sound more mean or feel like more rude but it's not fine dining as long as I get my 3 scoops I'm good will come here every time“

“SO YUMMY! My dining companion is not a “trained chef” 😂 whatever below reviewer “Vonna Somethin“ but my partner is picky and we love Peter’s! Our food was delicious and the place was booming with orders so obviously they do things right often if not always! It is the only Cantonese restaurant in Denver that we will order from! The owner is really nice and knows exactly what good service and good meals mean to a person.“

“Only "dollar a scoop" chinese food place I trust in Denver, and I found that out the hard way. I always get the chicken Lo Mein, honey chicken, and sesame chicken; food is always fresh, environment and food is clean, portions are GENEROUS - easily double a Panda Express "plate", and damn-near unbeatable prices. Highly recommend.“

“I wish to dispel so much of the other garbage reviews in here (any less then 3 stars here should be ignored). 1. I don’t have IBS or other food allergies and am not a weak human when it comes to food as many of the other people reviewing Jade here seem to. I’ve tried damn near everything here now and haven’t gotten sick at Jack squat they offer. 2. This is a great lil “Whole in the wall” restaurant for those who actually appreciate these kinds of places and not just for the nostalgia of their own local food joints. I regularly order from their lunch menu and each cuisine I’ve tried has been been pretty darn good (This is not Crazy 5 star dining experience, again WHOLE IN THE WALL) 3. I think the shrimp is a lil watery though to be fair I don’t like seafood so it’s not my #1 choice & Not a big fan of the packaging of the Breaded chicken options as even just a 20 minute car ride home can often make it less crisp and when that’s your only option of eating the food since there is no seating, that kinda sucks + to folks like myself (& most) I like a crispy bite when I order that kind of food. 4. Portions are great giving me a good quality meal and being filling for a while to come.
Fav go-to is the Lo Mien and crab wontons. (11/10 kisses to the chef)
If you’re looking for a meal $15 or less and you want some pretty damn good options (AND ITS NOT PANDA), this is your place.“

“The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic taste. I tried the sesame chicken and lo mein, and both were spot-on, with generous portions that left me with leftovers for later. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Prices are affordable, and the convenience of takeout or delivery is a huge plus. Definitely my go-to spot for Chinese food in the area—highly recommend giving it a try!“

“There are some really good Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants in Denver: Glo, Ginger Pig, Mister Oso... Hop Alley didn't live up to the hype for me. Everything was good, but not great. The service was fine, and I appreciated the food coming out quickly, but the pace felt rushed. The cocktails were weird twists on bar classics, and we've had better Chinese food elsewhere in Denver. Overall, really glad we tried it, but we'll be sticking to our preferred staples in RiNo.“
