Can we talk about our culture of inauthenticity and mass production in the age of covid? The antidote is Ramen Star. Hot (but high quality) sake and a bowl of their homemade kimchi ramen (with in-house broth) is the power lunch that strengthens the host to fight the invader. Ebisu Sushi and Ramen Star is a lovely restaurant offering the best ramen in Denver, with everything described as amazing and full of flavor. The food is great, with meals like tonkukatsu, gyoza, karaage, spicy ramens, and takoyaki. The way the meat melted in the mouth from the Everything Roman was extravagant. The presentation of each dish is delightful and very appealing, with ingredients meticulously picked and freshly sourced. The atmosphere is cool, and there is a homey feel with the hospitality. The chef/owners are so kind and are a husband and wife running it together, not a corporate organization. The server/host is very kind and beyond awesome, though service can be a bit slow with water and beers, and there may be a wait for sushi and ramen bowls. This family-owned business compares to big name restaurants like Uncle and Katsu Ramen. Diners will definitely be coming here again, calling it their new go-to for ramen.
