“Best ramen EVER! We stumbled upon Uncle over a decade ago, and since then anytime we’re in CO we come for dinner. The spicy chicken ramen is hands down the best, love all of the bao buns, eggplant is my favorite, but can’t go wrong with crab or pork belly ones either. We’ve never had anything bad, service is always great too! Be sure to make a reservation.“

“I came for the ramen because they make their broth in house as well as their noodles and after trying many other Denver ramen spots, so far the Shirayuki ramen is the best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan. The broth is insanely flavor and has a deep level of richness and texture. It’s perfect. The noodles are to die for IMO - hand pulled and the perfect size and consistency. Honestly I’m not sure what to fault this ramen on other than I want more.

The sushi is pretty good too but not amaaaazing. For the price though it’s an incredible value! Would (and have) already returned. And will likely keep coming back.

They also have some Japanese beers which I always enjoy.

I also wanna say their menus are really nice. 1 big 2 sided laminated page with a color menu. Super nice touch!

Staff is super friendly and welcoming and the decor as you walk in is inviting.

My ONLY complaint is there’s a weird sewage or garbage smell on the outside patio that’s quite off putting. We wanted to sit outside our 2nd time there but had to move indoors to not ruin our appetite.

But the ramen slaps and is my favorite in Denver so far 👌“

“Can we talk about our culture of inauthenticity and mass production in the age of covid? The antidote is Ramen Star. Hot (but high quality) sake and a bowl of their homemade kimchi ramen (with in-house broth) is the power lunch that strengthens the host to fight the invader. My dining in experience was further enhanced by the handmade metal screens (made by the head chef), subtle decor and gentle piano music. The quality food was equally matched by the service. “We got Spicy Tatsu and Tan Tan Ramen, gyoza, and a California Roll. The Tatsu is exceptional and I guzzled about all of the broth down. It has chasu (pork belly) and chicken, bamboo strips, marinated egg, bok choy, and seaweed. The Tan Tan has a spicy peanut broth with ground chicken. We’ve had the Tonkatsu and Miso on other occasions and I recall liking all of them. The restaurant is pleasant and staff is attentive and kind. They often have sporting events on their three TVs, so we got to watch some World Cup this evening, which was great.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Menya Ramen & Poke, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we tried was outstanding and exceeded my expectations.

However, what made this visit especially memorable was the exceptional service from Vanessa. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. Her warm personality and thoughtful service made the entire experience feel even more special.

I usually don’t write reviews, but Vanessa’s kindness and professionalism truly impressed me and inspired me to share this. It’s rare to meet someone who cares so much about making guests feel comfortable and happy.

Because of both the amazing food and Vanessa’s outstanding service, I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

“Soooo good! I crave this place weekly! I saw bad reviews about the beef hot pot but I thought it was delicious! The beef is supposed to be cooked prior and dipped in their house sauce. The house sauce is perfect for dipping and all the veggies and add ons in the hot pot were great. I can barely finish it every time because there’s so much so it’s two meals for me. Their Thai hot pot is also one of the my favs and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the owners are so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!“

“The food has a homemade flavor that you don't really get from other places. I got the Chicken Katsu Don and you could tell it was hand prepped and made. The slightly sweet sauce paired nicely with the otherwise savory dish. I also tried the Karage and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.

There is only 1 thing that keeps this away from 5 stars and thar is the Boba. I got the strawberry one and it was a bit too strong. Having almost a perfume flavor to it. But I also tried the normal milk tea and that was delicious, better than some milk tea specific places I have been too.“

“10/10. Great food, great ambience and wonderful servers. We tried the Spicy Chicken Ramen, Fried Rice and Chicken Karaage. Food tasted great, hot and served well. Asher, our server was very nice. There was a homeless person at the door and they were very nice to him, offered him a cup of water. Treated them like a human being. Really nice to see such gestures from businesses. Highly recommend.“

“There was no bok choy or sprouts in my bowl as the description says. I also paid for an extra egg to be added and there was no yolk it was just the whites. The flavor of the rest was really good though and the chasu buns were delicious.
Ordered to go and had to wait an extra 20 mins beyond the expected pick up time.“

“Ill start with the positive: all the food was great, we had the snow white appetizer plus the Hawaiian and Dynamite rolls. + some seaweed salad, salmon sashimi and a fried rice dish. Thumbs up for all of that. The food was ready about 15 minutes after the expected time and they forgot to include the spicy crispy tuna for the promotion so that was a little disappointing.“

“Good food that is quick with decent portions. The food was tasty although a little pricy. They put a 15% service fee even on carry out if you do not ask them to take it off. On the bright side they only add 15% automatically if you dine in and do not need to add extra tip.

“We were given this recommendation from a friend who lives in Denver. The food was INCREDIBLE, the drinks were delightful, the food came out quickly, despite them being busy on NYE. The music was loud, the laughter along with the people having a great time, made the perfect downtown Denver experience. The ambience is beautiful, the lighting and decor really set the vibe. We would definitely go back on our next visit.“
