“we were in the area for a mini vacation (my sister and i). initially we were walking to the brunch nearby but as we were passing by, we changed our minds and went in. after seeing the cowboys game on, we sat down near the TV it was on. I asked if it was possible to change the TV behind my sister as well since we will be sitting across from one another. it was playing the Olympics races and nobody was watching (1 booth other than us and 4 people bar top). after it was changed, we ordered our food and drinks. a kitchen staff joked about the cowboys with friendly bantar before returning to the kitchen. shortly after, the general manager (I was unaware at the time) came from the kitchen and changed it again. I said excuse me several times to him and got 0 acknowledgement. the bartender shrugged his shoulders and looked away from me. I spoke to Anthony as there wasn't much time left on the game. Anthony attempted to talk to him and he said there were people watching the game. the game which was not put on until AFTER we requested the change. while I'm not one to sweat small stuff, I work in customer service and with 6 mins left on a preseason game, what's the harm? at least acknowledge me when I speak to you. let's come to an agreement. instead, I turned my chair around and waited to eat the appetizers sitting behind me on the table until the game was over (a whopping 4 mins) I don't get time to catch many games, was on vacation and wasn't being rude about it. i love sports and trust, I would've been stoked to catch the baseball game he changed it to AFTER the football game. and I would've been the only customer paying attention then too. so finally I was loud and thanked Anthony for his friendly demeanor and caring about his customers. I said it very loudly since I could not get acknowledgement when speaking politely and directly to him. what do ya know? now we hear me in the kitchen and have plenty to say. with music playing and food being prepared no less! I enjoyed the food. probably the best wings I've had in ages! the beer cheese soup was delicious. I enjoyed our waiter's customer care. without him, we would've walked out. food is top notch. caring about customers, not entirely priority. we don't visit often so it isn't a huge loss that we won't be returning because of one person. Definitely ask for Anthony if you do go!“

“I’m not one to review. I always forget but holy moly this place is amazing! The food is beyond amazing. I ordered the grilled kielbasa with sauerkraut and fried potatoes on one occasion, which was off the charts! The Bavarian pretzel yes I know it’s just a Bavarian pretzel, but not this one and not the cream cheese garlic dip it comes with holy Mary mother of God. It is amazing. I will never look at beer cheese, the same again after having this,.I hate to keep using that word, but it is nothing short of amazing!! then the burgers, the burgers are just seasoned perfectly and I just can’t stress how good this food is at this establishment if you’re ever off of Broadway and Maple stop in you will not be disappointed!!“

“A Denver classic. Some may say it's a dive bar and they are not far of, but wouldn't put in the dive bar category. Food is all around solid with a wide variety of choices and comes out quick. Big cold beers, full bar, pool and shuffle board available. Service is always prompt and friendly. Stop in.“

“We've been here twice now, mainly bc they serve food until 11P or midnight.
They serve pizza, for which they make their own pizza crust. My bf is picky and he loves the pizza here. It is good. There are a few TVs showing Denver and Colfax history and past businesses. There is owl decor on the walls. This is owned by the same ppl who own the BarCar on CO Blvd, so menus have some of the same items.
Thankfully, we've made it there on non-karaoke nights. There is a parking lot behind the bldg.“

“I had thought I was here before but it turned out I was not. My homeboy invited me after a movie and it was exactly what we needed. Juggalo friendly, excellent artwork, perfect mix of people, and the staff are on point. I couldn't come up with a disagreement with this bar if I tried. Highly recommended. If I had any concern, it would be that there was only one bathroom, for everybody, who said I will let you know when I'm out. Lol. Which is honestly not that big a deal. I'll definitely be back.
