“I asked for a quiet table on the bar side of the restaurant. The main dining room was quite noisy and full. Food was fabulous and beautifully presented. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Will be returning for sure when I'm in town.“
“This family-owned business is the gem of Denver. We moved to town last fall and bring every friend who visits here. You may have to wait a few minutes to get seated but it’s easy to pass time at the bar. The staff is personable and warm, and their cannoli — particularly the pistachio one — is the best I’ve ever had! Their vodka sauce is also to-die-for. Definitely stop by for arancini, and make sure you order an Italian soda with cream.“
“I was just in the area one day and Googled "pizza near me" and this place was one of the few that were open, as it was before 11am so I gave it a try. I just happened to go on a Wednesday, and they have "half off pizza Wednesdays" so I would definitely go during a Wednesday if you're unsure whether or not you'll like the place.I had the garlic cheese bread and a deep dish pizza. The garlic cheese bread is ok. It's not bad, but they just put cheese on a slice of bread. My favorite cheesy breads are those made from pizza dough, because they come out a lot fluffier and just taste better in general. The cheese is great but the marinara dipping sauce that comes with it is pretty average. It's not super bad, but nothing about it stood out. There were some larger chunks of tomato in mine so I wouldn't be surprised if it was made in-house.The deep dish was really good. The crust has a nice flavor too; not too powerful (more of a background taste which is how it should be). The crust is nice and fluffy, too. Without trying it back-to-back with Giordano's, I would probably pick Giordano's in a very narrow victory because I have had their deep dish a few times and haven't been disappointed. With the half off Wednesdays deal in mind, however, if it was a Wednesday this place would get my business first.“
“One of my favorite pizza spots in town and my friend’s favorite when he comes to visit (Italian restaurant owner from GA). They use tipo 00 flour which doesn’t bother a lot of people with gluten issues (they have a gluten free pizza too) and they have buffalo mozzarella as an option too (which also doesn’t bother a lot of people with dairy issues). Great pizza overall regardless what issues or not you have ?.“
“When my girlfriend lost her job and needed a pick-me-up, they delivered. We got the gluten free pizza (fire btw), but wasn't able to add pineapple on our fav menu option (The five boroughs). In the comments we explain the situation and asked for pineapple and they were able to provide it ♥️ also with a lil message. Thank you guys, really made her night.“
“This was the best food and dining experience we've ever had. Our server was so sweet and the chefs came to welcome us because it was our first time eating at Maggiano's. This food is worth every penny! We will be back soon for sure!“
“We had such a lovely time at Spuntino. The service was excellent and all of the food was delicious. We ordered the Capellini Aglio e Olio and the Lasagna. Both had an Indian spice flavor to them which was great. Ordered the Arancini as well which were very good and they were even kind enough to bring us an order of Focaccia on the house because “it’s just too good to pass up”. They were right! Will definitely be back.“
“AMAZING!! From one Michelin-recommended restaurant to another, this was a phenomenal experience. Nick took such great care of us from start to finish. He was so knowledgeable about the wine and food, so attentive and personable. The food was delicious, creative, gastronomy-inspired but not gimmicky. Flavorful and perfectly portioned tasting menu. Will return!“
“My wife and I had an amazing time at Tavernetta! Each dish was fantastic, expertly matched with outstanding cocktails that truly stood out. Tavernetta is a must-visit for an unparalleled dining experience because of its unwavering commitment to excellence in cuisine and beverages. The service is second to none—great job! I look forward to coming back!“
“Great pizza spot! Lots of choices and all are fantastic. Good vibe on the inside, but the service was not good at all. I’m not one to write bad reviews, but Marco gave us awful service. He was not attentive and didn’t really have a good attitude. We had to constantly remind him for refills, boxes, and he would take his time coming back to check on us. Everything was 10/10! Would be back.“
“I absolutely love spending time here! The staff (Tim, Sybil, Devi, Sarah, Ash, and others!) are all wonderful and make you feel at home. The food is good, the happy hour is such a good deal, and the atmosphere is so friendly! This has become my favorite neighborhood hangout, and I know I’m not alone.“
“This pizza was excellent. Probably the best on the strip there that I’ve had. The bar stools were fun and the service was quick. Drink specials weren’t too bad either, so stop in for the happy hour. Would pop in again next time I’m passing through Denver.“
“The food is amazing! I always get the gnocchi but i've tried other dishes including the seafood pasta and pizzas and everything is so tasty and cooked perfectly! I love the service style, they have a bar, a gelato station, and even sell authentic italian ingredients to take home!“
“Every course of the meal was delicious and all offerings were appealing on this Denver Restaurant Week menu. The bread was fresh with a crunchy crust. The burrata was generous, flavorful and attractively presented. The minestrone had the right amount of spice and the pasta in it was al dente. The eggplant parmesian was stacked high with a generous amount of traditional red sauce. The limoncello cake was light and lemony and paired well with a double espresso. Can't say enough about the totality of enjoyment in this experience.“
“Excellent vibes and even better food. I really enjoyed this spot. My wife and I stopped by for some appetizers and dinner after some drinks a block away. The service was very good. The restaurant is quite small so be prepared for cross talk and in that sense a euro vibe. Otherwise I thought everything I ordered was well cooked and very fresh. The quality of ingredients was another factor in my five star review. Overall a very good experience.“
“Voghera Ristorante & Apericena is the only place in Denver where my husband & I can reexperience the kind of dining we enjoyed—no, loved—throughout northern Italy, in Milan and in the Piemonte wine region last year. Once again, last night we thoroughly appreciated the menu choices (many more choices than other restaurants offer during Denver Restaurant Week), the presentation of our selections, the amount of food provided in each course (more than ample), the timing (appropriate brief pauses between courses to digest, enjoy our wine, and anticipate the next course), the professional service provided by our server, the food runner/presenter (the owner with his energetic demeanor and Italian accent!), and prompt clearing of used items by a third person. Where else in Denver, at this price point, does your server bring an arranged tray of silverware to your table to replace any you have used or to provide you with the correct knife for your main course? We were thrilled with our wine choice—an Arneis from Piemonte—that complemented our meal selections perfectly. If you have traveled to places where food is treated with respect, you know the joy of experiencing the terroir of the area you are in. We feel this is what owner Marco & his team are providing to us in Denver. I would like to suggest that people who choose to come to this restaurant try to adopt an attitude of dining & savoring rather than just eating & drinking. Four at a table in our lovely back dining room were loud and raucous as would be appropriate in a sports bar but not in this setting. Their behavior affected the dining experiences of everyone else in the room. If you allow a dining experience here to transport you to northern Italy, you will feel the price is more than worth it.“
“Do not judge a book by its cover. This is the best Italian I’ve had in my life. The owner and his wife are spectacular hosts. You will never find anything like this place in Colorado. I’ve been living in CO for 11 years, originally from NY. I will never need to go to NY again for spectacular Italian. Clam and shrimp oreganata, penne vodka, eggplant, chicken franchese…off the charts.“
“5/5 atmosphere5/5 service4/5 foodWe shared the burrata, the crab bisque, and egg eggplant parm. Everything was good, nothing was great. The only thing I would order again would be the burrata, but that’s hard to mess up. The crab bisque was especially disappointing. Not creamy at all and hardly any bisque? It was weird for an $18 soup. We were so excited for the eggplant and it was solid but nothing to talk about. All in all a nice experience and we would go back, but probably not anytime soon.“
“Danni was the perfect server! I am the adventurous type, and so much on the menu looked amazing! I asked Danni to choose for me and make it a surprise and I was NOT disappointed. The sauces were rich but light, house brewed wise exquisite, and the Tiramisu was delectable. I rarely enjoy eating out these day because it rarely rivals my own kitchen, but I will tell you I do appreciate the night off! Humblest compliments to the Chef!“
“Great locally owned pizza place that has charm for days. Big Bill’s looks like what you want a hidden gem, hole in the wall pizza place to look like - lots of old dark wood, booths for seating (with lots of people dining in), has a great mural on the wall in memory of 9/11, you can see people making your food and the staff is really friendly. Our pizza had a great flavor. It was well made and the ingredients tasted fresh. Nothing about it (or the business itself) is exceptionally fancy, but everything was solidly good.Families and foodies alike, if you’re looking for fresh ingredients without the fuss, this is your stop. And be sure to try their homemade meatballs and cheesecake - both are delish.Vegetarian options: Vegetables tasted freshParking: It’s in a strip mall with plenty of parking in the lot.Kid-friendliness: I brought our toddler in and she immediately asked if we could eat in. It has such an inviting and warm atmosphere. I saw a lot of families with children dining in. We’ll definitely be back and eat there.“
“The Venice Italian Restaurant is a must visit. The menu is loaded with amazing options and the Venice team is attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the Pappardelle con Cinghiale and tiramisu, while other members of our party loved the Bolognese and Lasagne. Reservations are easy through the online portal. Enjoy!“
“The food here is absolutely fantastic, with service to match. Our waiter, Brian, was friendly and provided excellent recommendations. The arancini, pancetta, chicken gnocchi were all fantastic. They have the best risotto I’ve ever tasted. Definitely recommend!“
“Lovely and knowledgeable staff. It's a cute space with a beautiful patio. It is tucked into a cool neighborhood. The food is good and expensive for the whole experience and quality. They are in competition with many other "new American" farm-to-table type spots in Denver.“
“We tend to visit Postino a lot, it's next to Trader Joes and where in Denver can you find a $6 glass of wine?! Happy Hour at Postino is the bomb! We always order the shrimp scampi because it's the best we have had in Denver and then we try one new thing. Many of the breadboards are delicious, but I like lighter fare. We ordered the Ceasar salad this time and it was a proper Ceasar with anchovy dressing. A perfect late lunch snack for two.“
“Best wood fired neapolitan style pizza in town! Fresh high-quality ingredients, great flavor combinations. So excited we can get delivery for lazy stay-in nights, though we do love the patio ambiance especially summer afternoons.p.s. The beet salad is amazing.Vegetarian options: Beet salad, veggie pizza, garden pizza, wild mushroom pizza, pesto cream pasta“
“We enjoyed a wonderful Restaurant Week dinner at Cucina Bella! We'd heard that it was a neighborhood gem and we were not disappointed. Great service from Kevin, and our food was great--delicious flavors and generous portions. Will definitely be back!“
“Love this place! From the complimentary Prosecco to the pre-dessert almond mousse, and oh my gawd that Panna Cotta! Amazing experience, and fantastic service. Our quaint little neighborhood high end dining spot! And we were able to reserve same day on a Friday! Definitely go!“
“After leaving a terrible unaccommodating pizza place right down the road, my autistic kiddo and I stumbled upon Blue Pan. Man, did they deliver; and I would give them 10 stars if I could. The host was so sweet, when the texture of the chair bothered my son, she even got him a softer chair. Will, my server was so kind and caring. Not to mention the pizza was absolutely amazing. We have found a new pizza place for when we are in this area of town. Thank you the entire staff that interacted today with me and my son.“
“Woah!!! I was looking around, trying to find the best Italian food in Denver... And there's always the fussy Italian food that is kind of expensive and not like grandma used to make... And I stumbled across Grammys and read some of the reviews and thought this is perfect. I think my husband will love this. He grew up With his grandma making spaghetti sauce for days... Foremost, the food is absolutely delicious... We happen to know that we love, Clyde, Sausage, and the fact that they serve it is amazing and so delicious... The garlic knots are as big as my hand... We were so impressed and they're really delicious and somehow kind of light and fluffy... My husband had the lasagna and the portion was huge. I'm pretty sure that we're going to have lasagna for at least 2 to 3 more meals and I had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was divine and the portions were huge. I'm sure I'm gonna eat that for days as well... Our eyes got really big when we saw the desserts and the goodies... they were so yummy looking The best thing about this place is the old-school red and white checkered tablecloth and friendly service and the fact that this is a family business just made our heart happy... While we were sitting there, we noticed a poster apparently this place was on Guy Fieri Diners DriveIns and Dive... I can see why... It's old-school and we love it. It's my new husband's favorite place. It reminds him of days of old.“
“We were recommended this place by an acquaintance. We booked a table for tonights dinner days in advance, which was nice. The service was impeccable thanks to Pablo. He did an amazing job and his service alone makes me want to come back. Then when you add the food to the equation, (chef's kiss)! All around amazing experience and couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate the fiance's birthday dinner. We will definitely be back and will make sure to spread the word.“
“Traveling for work, I found myself in wheat-ridge for 6 months. I was craving some sliced Italian deli meats and some Italian sweets and found this place nearby according to google. Omg I found heaven!Sliced my meat for me while I picked out some cannoli and pizzelle. Calabrisi was spicy good! I’ve since moved again but while I lived in wheat-ridge, I visited this place every two weeks.“
“I went in expecting a nice enough place, and when I left, I wished this restaurant was closer to my house! First off, when I walked in, the atmosphere was fantastic. It had a mixture of a rustic and modern feel, perfectly blended. The service was off the charts amazing, and the menu has enough options you’ll probably be distraught trying to choose which meal to eat! We had a few apps…..great! Then the food came……GREAT! We had just come back from Italy not too long ago, and this place captures the food and ambiance perfectly. I cannot recommend this place enough!“
“Delicious food on a consistent basis. Great online order deals and prices that are so worth the quality of food. Friendly service too! Would highly recommend this little hole-in-the-wall eatery!Parking: Ample parking for large outdoor shopping mall“
“Growing up whenever we made trips back to visit our family in a small town in Illinois, we would always do a low key dinner with all the aunts, uncles and cousins from an restaurant that did spaghetti by the bucket. It was a great way to feed the huge group and I have great memories from that. I was very excited to see that experience coming here to Denver and it did not disappoint. My wife couldn't say enough about how nice the owner was when we picked up our order, the kids love spaghetti and meatballs, and who doesn't like a loaf of buttery garlic bread?! This is definitely going to be on our repeat list, especially when we have our kids friends and families over for a bigger meals, simple, delicious and very easy!“
“There were two gentlemen, employees, standing at the host station and I’m sure they were just observing the seating but we were seated right behind the host station and it was a little uncomfortable as it felt like they were watching us eat. Other than that we enjoyed our time and our server was amazing. His name was Lindsey and he was amazing!! Ask for him if you can!!“
“Wonderful services and incredible food. The Marky-Marg pizza (pictured) was exploding with flavor and the crust was perfect. Th burrata was fresh and tasty and the Italian Hero sandwich was great for lunch the next day. This place is my new favorite local pizza spot.“
“I’m highly impressed with my whole experience dining in last night! Their service was amazing and they had multiple servers checking in with us at the bar while we were waiting to be seated. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. We had the burrata, seasonal pizza with hot honey and prosciutto, and braised short rib lumache. Their drinks were also exquisite. They made the experience very luxurious and it’s now one of my favorite restaurants.“
“We’ve been here a couple of times and everything has always been very good. The portions are huge and everything we got was great. I ordered the chicken parm and we got a family salad - both were great and the family salad is a great value. Clifton was excellent in taking care of us, so much so that we will likely be back just from the service. It can be a bit loud if it is full (often the case), but highly recommend because of the service.“
“A patient Coopers' Hawk on the fence at Virgilio's... maybe on the waitlist?Sanitized everywhere I looked. Very clean considerate and tasty. Better pizza than the new place on Wadsworth. Greatest restaurant you will find in Littleton and its worth the drive as our Denver people will agree. They drive here to see us or is it to go to Virgilio's.“
“Wow! Who knew there was such an authentic Italian venue in Denver. Homemade artisan pasta with creative sauces and entrees. Try the bolognese as it is one of a kind. The wood-fired pizza reminded us of what we had in Venice, IT! The bar and wine list is loaded with special finds. My wife found the Paloma cocktail to be fabulous. I fell in love with wine list especially. If you’re in Denver this is a MUST! Cheers.“
“We came here for a quick bite as a group and we really enjoyed it. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We ended up sitting outside (it is a first-come-first-serve) and the staff was really helpful to set us up with the heaters and made sure we are taken care of.We ordered a variety of pizzas and really not a single one of them disappointed. The combos might sound crazy and unusual but they really work so i'd encourage anyone to try.We also ordered a few of the oysters and we loved them. They have a variety of types there and will make sure to run your through them. We really enjoyed all of them and the team was divided on favorites.Would definitely come back for more bites!“
“Stumbled upon this place and SO glad we did! I had the arrabiata rigatoni and my husband had the lamb - both were incredible. The balsamic aged whiskey was also amazing, never had anything quite like it. Overall, some of the best Italian I’ve had. We will definitely be back !“
“Love the outdoor dog friendly patio! They welcomed my wife and I with our dog and even offered her a bowl of water. Got soup, salad and a bruschetta board and it was all delicious. Great service and good atmosphere. Will be back to try more menu items!“
“Very delicious pizza and great bang for your buck especially for a hole in the wall place in the middle of downtown Denver.About $25 after tax for 2 slices, 1 combo and 1 calzone. The space is a little small but again…downtown :D.Restrooms kept very clean but protected by keycode.“
“I was in Lakewood for a visit, saw the sign and thought, "I wonder if that's the same place that we practically lived in, 48 years ago? " I was expecting our son, and their spaghetti & meatballs was the only thing that I consistently craved. Much to my delight, it is!! Fabulous salad, complete with the shredded provolone and truly perfect bread. But the moment I had the pasta, it brought me right back! The sauce is still rich, so flavorful and the traditional thick, yet tender noodles make it near perfect! Also, the same generous portions. No "shrink-flation" here.Thank you for the trip down memory lane. We've been gone from the area since 1984, and don't visit much. This will draw us back more often. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly and attentive servers and host. Way to go, Amici's!Kid-friendliness: This is still a family-friendly, kid-friendly restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a rollator, they have made it very easy to get around safely.“
“Gargaro’s is an awesome no frills old school Italian bakery and sandwich shop. The sub sandwiches are huge, especially for the price. If you get the grinder be sure to add capicola for a little extra! All of the breads, pastries and cookies are amazing. They also have an assortment of freshly made pastas, sauce, sausage, pizza dough, sausage and pepper cannolis, cream filled cannolis. This place is legit!“
“This is my favorite local bar, and the bartender has the best customer service. Food is great for a good price, and overall this bar and the regulars that frequent this spot have become a second family. I was here on Wednesday night, the night in which Jesse G wrote a one star review about; and he was screaming in the bartenders face. And definitely left out some major details about the interaction. As I frequent this place often I know the rules for drinks in a bar; and upgrading from a soda to a beer; regardless if you're in a pool league or not, isn't a possibility. You order a drink and are then able to get that same drink a second time for free. So no, not on any bar on earth would a bartender give you a free beer, which is what he was asking for, in exchange for buying a soda. Secondly, what bar have you ever gone to where you don't have to put a card down to start a tab for $7.00 tacos TO LEAVE OPEN, or close out your tab immediately. And then he literally screamed in her face at the bar. Before you critique or criticize someone take a look at what role you played in the whole interaction. Which was completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I'm not sure where he's been going out to drink, but I'd say that the rules for starting a tab and bogo drinks are pretty universal. Don't let his review scare you away, Tedz is definitely the place to be.“
“Food is delicious. Prices are reasonable. Staff is professional.I grew up in Boston and lived in New York for a while and I consider their Italian restaurants to be authentic Italian American food that is my basis for comparing everything to. This is the only place I’ve found so far in the Denver area that even comes close to authentic and is just as good as anything you would find in those places. As someone who loves Italian food and misses home, that is the highest compliment I can give. One thing I have to mention is the surcharge on the bill. A 2% fee that goes to the kitchen staff is added onto the bill. It’s only 2% and not a big deal at all, but I really HATE this trend. Just adjust your prices and pay your staff like every other business in the world. It’s clearly a political statement and your gruff with local politicians requiring you to pay your employees a living wage doesn’t need to be shoved down the throats of your customers just trying to enjoy a meal. Complaining about having to pay your employees on your menu, especially when you just bought the building for $2.6million, is sleazy and in poor taste. You can afford to pay your staff 2% more. Get over it.“
“We had a fantastic dinner last night! Easy to get a reservation and they were ready for us the minute we arrived. Makayla was our waitress and she was amazing! She had great knowledge of the menu and was spot on in her recommendations! Kudos to kitchen as everything was perfect!“
“The first time I heard of them was from their catering for a charity benefit that I attended. For me that's always a plus that they are involved in their local community, but their bruschetta was really good. I've ordered delivery since and it was also really good. I'll have to dine in at some point.“
