A modest and quaint place. Its a different atmosphere to most sushi restaurants in a way that feels more casual. The staff are nice, the rolls are good, and the prices are better than most places. Overall, great value and great experience, i look forward to eating here again.
The food is decent but definitely not top tier. It feels like half the rolls are krab based, and the actual fish is nothing remarkable. It's better than gas station/supermarket sushi, but that's about it. The wasabi is a pale imitation of the real thing: thin and barely spicy. The store is extremely small and it's probably not worth dining in. Service is relatively fast but impersonal; worst of all, they just raised their prices again. I had been sleeping on Sakura - it’s fast indeed, yummy and fresh, rolls are a great size, and the man and woman working there were very pleasant both on the phone and in person. I ordered the crazy horse roll (good portion of fish in there!), firecracker roll, and the bronco roll. The ambiance is casual and unassuming, so not necessarily a spot for date night but perfect for lunch, quick dinners and takeout.
