So I actually lived in this hotel for about 5 6 months back in 2010. These places no longer exist. If you can find them they are far and few. When I stayed there it was more of like a rooming slash apartment. Not hotel. Very cool for a really lame town. If you ever are driving through and need to stop check it out the building was awesome back then. Not sure how much remodeling has been done since I stayed there 14 years ago. I hope one day to return and see how amazing this place...read full review

However, some guests have complained about the lack of parking and high noise levels, advising against staying at the hotel. Overall, The Max Hotel is a good choice for a delicious steak dinner in Lamar.
