“Stopped in on our way through the area and grabbed a couple slices and some cheesy bread to go. Food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious! The slices were large and foldable NY-style with lots of gooey cheese and that cheesy bread was nothing but gooey cheese and wonderfully crispy outside/fluffy inside crust. “Babette’s is probably the closest thing Longmont has to a true European bakery. They take their craft seriously, and the quality of both the bread and pastries is exceptional.

We’ve been coming here for years, probably around ten visits in total, and it’s been great to watch them continue to expand what they offer. The bread is especially good, often with a very dark, almost over-baked-looking crust that turns out to be absolutely delicious. The pastries are just as impressive and clearly made with a high level of skill.

On our most recent visit, we had a caramel puff pastry dessert with hazelnut cream that was genuinely one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. It was delicate, rich, beautifully balanced, and packed with caramel and hazelnut flavor without feeling heavy.

The coffee setup is a little different, with drinks prepared in a separate area after you order. It seems efficient, but it does mean you need to be very clear about any drink specifications so they get passed along correctly.

The only slight downside is that the atmosphere from the staff can feel a little bougie and somewhat cold at times. That said, the quality of what they produce completely outweighs it. If you appreciate excellent bread, serious pastry work, and a more European-style bakery experience, Babette’s is absolutely worth a visit.“

“I have been a LONG-TIME Cavegirl regular... I’m talking early days (circa 2018) when organic coffee shops and good GF/DF nutritious treats were genuinely hard to find. I can honestly say I’ve probably been here at least 300+ times.

Over the years, I’ve rented Cavegirl’s space for an event, had more iced vanilla lattes than I could possibly count, and spent a lot of time tucked at a table working, talking, laughing, and occasionally having a hard day made significantly better by a GF donut or one of those ridiculously delish chocolate chip cookies.

But even with all the growth and expansion Cavegirl has had over the years, one of the biggest reasons I’ve stayed loyal is the people. Jacob was the first barista to know my order the second I walked through the door (a bucket-list coffee shop achievement, btw 😂 ) and he has always been kind, approachable, funny, and happy to tweak an order or recommend something delicious. At this point, he’s just my barista pal, and there’s something really lovely about walking into a place where you actually know and like the people behind the counter. Same goes for Meade. Absolute gems.

Cavegirl has been one of my little constants for a lot of years now, and I’m really grateful for that. Thanks, Lori, for continuing to make it a place I love to work, talk, sip, and be.

“Fresh and clean as you walk through the door, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming!! It was my wife and I first time here and we were happy we stopped to try something different. My wife got the chicken, bacon Alfredo and I got the spicy Korean beef noodles, and we got an order of pot stickers and the Korean BBQ meatballs to try. They were all good 🤤🤤🤤 Definitely satisfied that noodle craving and will have to come back to try other menu items!!! So yummy!!!!“
