“There are places that placed the priority on the atmosphere to the detriment of the food being served. May Wah has consistently delivered great food, lots of choice, in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong: the atmosphere is most agreeable...(they have a round table with lazy Susan for instance) but the star of this show are the menu choices. I recommend you give them a try!“

“We recently hosted a school fundraising event at the Bohemian Biergarten and it was such a great experience! Their back room is a perfect space for a small crowd and has such a cozy vibe and required no extra decorations or anything to make it feel like a special space.

We had about 40 people but it can hold up to 90. They have a small stage where we were able to set up a Photo Booth and our silent auction items. They had a projector screen available, which we didn't need, but also a TV we could hook up a laptop to broadcast our silent auction QR code, or whatever we wanted. They had a mic too which was great for speaking to the crowd. The food was yummy, the drinks were great and we had our own designated bartender with friendly service.

Claire was super responsive and really easy to work with and helped us pull off an amazing evening with VERY little effort. 10/10 would recommend if you need a place to host a group!“

“Pleasant surprise- very humble looking place, but clean and neat with red Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling. We ordered a number of entrees, then passed them around using the lazy susan in the middle of the table. All SO tasty! Especially the green beans and veggie dumplings. Extra rice was brought on request. Not exactly inexpensive, but we had gone to celebrate a birthday and left satisfied and happy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wait time was short and reasonable.“

“As someone who eats out all over Boulder, this is my go to lunch spot and often dinner. The food is so clean I always feel amazing after eating. Great flavors. Great drinks. The service is good and the staff is very friendly. The owner is often around and you can tell the place runs smoothly and is very clean. When my visiting parents stayed at the adjacent hotel they literally ate here everyday.“

“My drink was really good. The coffee was strong and fresh. My colleague purchased the tea, which is brewed to order. They were a bit busy in the morning but that is expected. However, they did move pretty quickly. The staff wasn’t the friendliest, but I would return for the coffee when in town.“

I contacted the store and was thrilled with the service I received!! Josh, I am beyond impressed with how they handled this. They sent out a second order and mom son did get them this time and was thrilled. I was expecting a hassle and instead they made it right within an hour or so. Thank you so much. “Not only was the Riverside the perfect venue for our corporate customer advisory board for 30 attendees, but the staff was amazing to work with, kind, and responsive. Plus, I loved that hosting our event at the Riverside allowed attendees to step outside to the beautiful patio for breaks and meals and we had natural light coming into the main room for our sessions to keep the energy up. I would definitely host an event at the Riverside again!“

“My wife’s family has history at the Dark horse. Her father Larry Levitt was a fixture there. Sitting at the end of the bar in his Cubs jacket with Coors Light in his hand. He had been visiting the Dark horse for decades, since 1975! We are all sad to see this staple of Boulder life leave the community. “Straight 4s. The food was pretty good considering it's boulder and the demographic probably couldn't tell a difference between a niu rou mien and a bun bo hue on the TV screen they play. It's a bit out of the way since we are in Denver proper

Wife and I had two dishes:
Duck wonton noodle soup
Dan Dan mien

The duck wonton was pretty good. My wife's complaint is that the wonton barely had any anything in it. So it tasted like noodles instead of a wonton. Soup is well balanced and the flavor isn't over bearing.

The portion of the Dan Dan mien was a bit on a smaller side or maybe I was hungry. It was pretty good to me from my initial taste. My screw up is that I included the szechuan sauce on it which overpower most of the flavor.

Don't let these gwei lo discourage you. Coming from a place where there is an abundance of great Asian food, this is a good alternative if i want that itch to be satisfied. I just live a bit too far away to come here regularly“
