“Wow - I wish we had found out about this place sooner! As a devotee of fine European chocolates, I can say that Chocolatarie Stam is legit. If you don't think there's an enormous difference between US and European chocolate, you've never had authentic European chocolate. Our favorite chocolates of all time are from Leonida's in Belgium, but Stam gives them a run for their money! Their gelato is top notch as well. It's worth a drive to Lafayette just to sit in this beautiful, atmospheric shop and enjoy some delicious sweet treats.“

“This is legitimately the best italian ice I've come across in the state of Colorado. Most places just do the shaved ice where it's plain ice with sugar liquid squirted on top (then it all sinks to the bottom). This is the real stuff where it's uniform in flavor and super soft like ice cream. Wish there were more like this around.“

“Took my kids to get ice cream tonight. There was a line to the door. Unfortunately, there was only one person working and you could tell he was working as quickly as he could. His name is Hunter and he is a great employee that they are lucky to have! As we were leaving, more people were walking in and I noticed a girl come out of the back room. She just stood there and watched the crowd come in, without helping Hunter at all. I glanced at her name and I think it said Jasmine. It’s a bummer he’s carrying the weight for the store on such a busy night. I hope all the tips goes directly to him!“

“Couple of outdoor tables. One game outside to enjoy. Couple of inside tables. Lots of topping choices. The place was clean but also it was empty when I went. One cashier. She was friendly and answered my questions about how often the flavors get changed out. She said about every week they change the featured flavor. The froyo is good and creamy. Seems to melt pretty fast though. So if you add too many toppings you'll have a puddle to drink in the bottom of your cup. I always get the cheesecake peices and fresh strawberry toppings when I go here. Always good and tasty. I spent $11+ dollars today just on my own cup. It was pretty full but I expected to pay between $8-$9.“

“I went here because I got a birthday coupon for an ice cream and I decided to treat myself. I ordered using the Cold Stone app, which was absolutely flawless. When I arrive, I'm told they are out of BOTH flavors I had requested in my creation. I accept their substitutions and go on my way. (The guys at the counter made me a little extra to make up for having to substitute.) Anyway, I got my follow-up email from the restaurant manager and I let her know about my experience. She wasted no time in acknowledging the problem, apologizing for the error, and making sure they made it right but giving me my next creation free. This is the kind of customer service that is absolutely disappearing from the marketplace. Once upon a time, this was how ALL businesses resolved their customer issues. I don't know who decided this practice was a bad idea and should be phased out, but they should be shot!

In my opinion, there is nothing that makes a business really shine to me other than the level of customer service they are willing to commit to. What you will find here is that level of customer service from way back when it was still a valued and appreciated part of any business interaction.
