“Just found this gem of a place last week. Been there twice since the first time.… What I have tried has been on par with great Vietnamese joins I’m used to in Houston. Authentic, fresh and a great value. Combo noodle bowl is tasty and refreshing. Great grilled flavor on the meats. The Vietnamese egg rolls are a great app.- very tasty! Lunch special was good (I got the combo kung pow), but will stick to Chinese restaurants to order Chinese food, BUT will be getting pretty much all of my Vietnamese food from here from now on. Generous portion sizes (they don’t skimp on the meats) at a very reasonable price point. For me the icing on the cake was that they give great quality stuff for to-go orders (substantial to go containers, a quality cutlery set with high quality fork, knife and chopsticks). I’ve been in F&B for 25+ years and this is a tell tale sign that an establishment really cares. If in the Northgleen area, give them a try. (When i googled saigon basil, there a couple of places with the same name, the one I am speaking about is the one off of 104th and I-25.“

Been here a few times....didn't have a bad dish yet. And the staff seems happy and attentive and low turnover...another mark of a great restaurant.“

“10/10!!! The soft shell crab buns were amazing, especially if Duncan is making them! We sat at the counter and loved watching the team prepare our food while enjoying small talk.
Our server, Tate, was amazing too! She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff was so friendly with each other, which made the whole experience even better.

“Wowee! I feel bad that I didn’t realize this was a full-service restaurant before ordering takeout, the atmosphere in this Bonchon is very sophisticated. For dinner, I ordered the Mixed wings and drums in the Spicy sauce and a side of the Korean street corn. Mind-shattering flavor and crunch! This is amazing chicken, fried to perfection. I usually have low expectations with anything just labeled as “spicy,” but it definitely brought the kick AND savory goodness! The street corn is fantastic, though I feel like a spicy option should be created and offered. Left more to be desired, but great regardless! I can’t wait to return here to dine in 🍴“

“Soooo good! I crave this place weekly! I saw bad reviews about the beef hot pot but I thought it was delicious! The beef is supposed to be cooked prior and dipped in their house sauce. The house sauce is perfect for dipping and all the veggies and add ons in the hot pot were great. I can barely finish it every time because there’s so much so it’s two meals for me. Their Thai hot pot is also one of the my favs and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the owners are so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!“

Every dish we’ve tried for more than a year has been richly flavored, well executed, and served at an ideal temperature. The husband & wife team who run the place are gifted chefs, as well as friendly, helpful, and very hard working, as is the rest of the small staff. This storefront restaurant has now become solidly and regularly very busy, which it well deserves. Try it, and try multiple dishes on and off the menu. “My wife and I love Tekka. We've been going since they were known as Thai House. They know us by name at this point. The hostess and her husband are lovely people. It's got the bones of an Irish sports bar, but they serve Asian food. Inexpensive draft beer! Great establishment, definitely check it out!“

“Honesty, surprised this place isn’t packed every night. The drinks are great, the food is MUCH better than other bao/asian places on the street, and the music SLAPS. They also always have sports playing, so a great place for World Cup viewing.

“The food was so good, we came back again two days later! The BEST Orange Chicken I’ve ever had. They make it with real orange juice. Superb! Kung pao chicken was tender and wonderful. Drunken noodles - amazing. Sesame chicken was very good - too many onions though. This is our new favorite. We can’t wait to try everything on the menu.“

“Stopped by P.F. Chang’s today for lunch and had a fantastic experience. Tanner was our server and he was outstanding — super attentive, had great energy, and really knew the menu inside out. He suggested the right spice level for us and even hooked us up with a couple extras that made the meal perfect.

“This was a pleasant surprise. Very good Chinese take-out. It's much better than the other options around, especially Panda Express. I ordered through their website, it was very easy, and 10 minutes later I arrived and it was ready moments later. It was hot and fresh, packed in a box for easy carrying. I'll be back.“

“I've been back 3 times in less than 2 months that's how good the food is. I have tried new things every time and each is just as delicious if not more so than the last. The only reason service didn't get 5 stars is because yes it can seem a little inattentive. However every time I went there was just one person running the whole front of house. It is a smaller place but that's a lot for one person. What matters to me more is good hot food hitting the table and that they nail.“
