“Intrigued by their best burger claim we decided this was the place to eat. We got the elk burger and it did not disappoint! One of the best if not the best burgers I’ve ever had! They even had gluten free buns which were a major plus. Big kudos to who picks those gluten free buns because most just fall apart, this one stayed and it was overloading the burger. The fries were perfectly cooked and crisp. The homemade bbq sauce is a must if you go! You won’t be disappointed!”

“They had gluten free bread so they made gluten free French toast and it was really good. The servers were overwhelmed with the Imogene pass run that was happening, but they were super friendly and apologetic about things. Would go back.”

“Stopped here last week while in town for some lunch. The food was delicious! We had a German hot dog and a brat with hatch green chili. Both were amazing. The tables have great views of the mountains. Service was fast and friendly. Wish we had time to go once more before we left.”

“The Western is a beautiful Hotel and lovely staff. My daughter recently married in Ouray. We chose the Western for their reception and stayed at the Hotel. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Making our stay even better. Susanne was wonderful to me the day of the reception making every little detail exactly as my daughter wanted it to be. It was the wedding of her dreams. I hope to return in the near future. It is a beautiful town and I highly recommend visiting the Western, either it be for dinner, a drink at their bar or stay the night.”

“Had the BEST experience at Kami’s Samis! We actually had breakfast here both days of our weekend getaway because it was that good. Food is amazing! Coffee was wonderful and Matt took great care of us. We will be back next time we’re in town. Been craving the breakfast quesadilla since we got back to Oklahoma. Wonderful place!”

“The pastries and coffee are AMAZING! I work as a barista and can be picky about coffee and their espresso far exceeded my standards! Also got the cherry turnover and it was the perfect amount of flakey as well as the bagel, all around so good!”

“I wouldn't recommend their fried chicken. I do like my fried chicken on the extra side of crispy, but the breading was so crispy in some (many) places that it could chip a tooth if you aren't careful.

The salad was good. The French fries were excellent and crispy. The price was very reasonable.

The male owner didn't seem to care about my suggestion on their fried chicken. I'm not sure if there was too much baking powder in the breading or why it was just too hard to crumble up when chewing. It could seriously break or chip a tooth.

Under the breading was some good chicken.

The female owner seemed to care more but mainly said that the size of the chicken pieces weren't to her liking, and that is what the vendor sends them. The wing was a little small but I knew this when I ordered it. I was still full and got enough food to eat when I left.”
