“I popped in yesterday, and they had a band playing some really cool country/rock tunes. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and you can tell she loves her job. Felt welcome and almost felt like I'd known her and the manager for years! Not the case but you catch my drift. The whole atmosphere was comfortable. Had a small dance with one of the locals and some good old conversations with some others. The drinks were very reasonable cost wise. Next time I'll check out the food, but as you can tell I'll definitely be back. Think this may become my favourite watering hole!!“

The steaks and the rest of the food were high-quality, well-prepared, and worth the price (we had 2 ribeyes w/ mushrooms, 2 filets, some calamari and crab cakes, and the sides were all lobster mac-n-cheese...and the skillet cookie & lemon pie for dessert). “Monk Mongoose has such good coffee beverages! All of their drinks are fabulous. The baristas are excellent at espresso. It comes at a cost, though. It is not cheap, but it is very good! My only disappointments are changes to the bags of coffee. They changed to 10 oz bags for 18.50 for Home Blend instead of 12 oz, just a few weeks ago. They also made a huge change to their rewards system. It was a good rewards systems, it’s awful now. You have to spend $225 in the store to get a free large drink, whether, Americano, or a latte. That same drink was 150 points a few weeks ago.“

“My daughter is keen on Chai. Her pumpkin chai was thi-cc, and “too pumpiny”. Butter croissant was “chewy”. Breakfast burrito was “mid”. Red eye is my go to, it burned my tongue. I had three more children in the time it took to order. Nice people.“

She constantly checked on us and made sure everyone's food and experience was great! Sophia, another server, also checked on our table and was awesome as well.
