“I popped in yesterday, and they had a band playing some really cool country/rock tunes. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and you can tell she loves her job. Felt welcome and almost felt like I'd known her and the manager for years! Not the case but you catch my drift. The whole atmosphere was comfortable. Had a small dance with one of the locals and some good old conversations with some others. The drinks were very reasonable cost wise. Next time I'll check out the food, but as you can tell I'll definitely be back. Think this may become my favourite watering hole!!“

“Wow! I eat GF due to an allergy, and Zell’s has just expanded my horizons! Their delicious crepes can be made completely GF! I had the Turkey, Brie and Raspberry Crepe, and it was amazing! The dessert crepes are yummy as well! I had no problems with my allergy from this food. I’m so excited to have found something new! The service was speedy yet very mindful of my allergy. The staff are well-informed about GF options. The dining area was clean and well cared for. I am visiting Denver from KCMO, and I will definitely be back!!“

Her name was Brenda and she walked us through the complete menu with great information in regards to health benefits. Connor is one of the most dedicated employees I’ve come across. He genuinely cares about making sure every customer gets exactly what they ordered and has a great experience. He goes above and beyond. The other day, he even included a few fun, off-menu donuts with a handwritten note — an unexpected touch that absolutely made my day. I’ve lost close to 135 lbs in 12 months since my father’s passing, this place is the best. I order it literally every morning!!

The team works incredibly hard. The food is outstanding, but the people are even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do and care about their customers.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Connor deserves a raise and a promotion. As an executive myself in business, I would hire him in a second.

“Came on a recommendation the last night of our trip and this place was AMAZING! We got in the last hour they were open yet they were so accommodating and friendly and the food was so good! This area of Castle Rock is nestled in and is worth stopping by! So good! 10!!!“

“We had intended to try monks Indian, but they were closed so we came here instead. So glad we did. Very accommodating to my service dog and request for a half booth. I had the black dragon and hubby had the Philly. A large sake completed the home run. Everything was absolutely delicious and our server Wendy was a doll keeping drinks refilled and just the right amount of checking in. Would definitely recommend. Not even joking you, I rarely experience little coffee shop/cafés where no matter who you interact with, they are genuinely the most cheerful, bright, kind person.

Because genuinely these people nail every interaction each time.

Their welcoming energy is what makes me want to go to their little shop for that reason alone. Not to mention, they are very accommodating to vegan needs and have great pastries!

“A good place to have a bit of breakfast. I usually share the bacon bit I was in an applewood smoked bacon mood. It could have had a more smoked flavor but the bacon were well cooked. I usually use eggs Benedict as my comparison dish. This was up there with the better Benedicts. I did forget to ask for extra crispy hash browns so I can't dong them on that but the browns were good.The blueberry pecan pancakes were very good as well.“

Service was excellent & all of the people working there we encountered were very pleasant and eager to make our experience positive. Loud, vibrant sports fans, which was fun! Burgers & fries looked amazing, but our salads really stole the show! I had the Harvest Salad with added chicken. “Monk Mongoose has such good coffee beverages! All of their drinks are fabulous. The baristas are excellent at espresso. It comes at a cost, though. It is not cheap, but it is very good! My only disappointments are changes to the bags of coffee. They changed to 10 oz bags for 18.50 for Home Blend instead of 12 oz, just a few weeks ago. They also made a huge change to their rewards system. It was a good rewards systems, it’s awful now. You have to spend $225 in the store to get a free large drink, whether, Americano, or a latte. That same drink was 150 points a few weeks ago.“
