“In a word its terrific. This was our first visit since the location changed ownership. The food was delicious, but the real difference was the service. Not only the waitstaff, but the busstaff was incredibly attentive and a pleasure. The manager truly managed and was a very gracious hostess. Angelo is a must visit. BRAVO!“

“The cheese ravioli with pesto sauce was the best! We also love the empanadas. Everything was fresh and flavorful.“

“Any review of a restaurant in Aspen, when compared to restaurants in other cities/towns, must be taken with a large grain of salt given the moneyed town it has become. Restaurant prices generally are 15-20% higher than elsewhere. We started with the Pesca salad (peaches, blueberries and arugula) which was delicious. We had two pasta dishes. The pappardelle boscaiola (porcini mushrooms and Italian sausage in a red wine and beef reduction) was tasty but a bit too salty, which detracted from the flavor of the reduction, The rigatoni montanara (slow cooked Italian sausage in an arrabbiata sauce) was very good. We finished with gelato - the vanilla was excellent but the chocolate was icy and lacking flavor.“

“Had a lovely experience at Ellina. The ambiance and outdoor seating is comfortable and elegant. The staff was kind and attentive, and took special attention to make sure my food wasn't contaminated with gluten (I have celiacs, husband does not). The prosciutto and tuna tartar was great; husband had the black pepper fettuccini and French onion soup and said all was amazing. Thank you! Highly recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Special attention to celiacs to ensure no cross contamination.“

“The atmosphere here was nice and you could feel it was a good restaurant.
I had the pappardelle with lamb ragù and the pasta was so fresh. The meat and the flavors were tasty. The only bad thing was when they asked what water we wanted and we asked for Fiji water. They came with a bottle and with one more when that one was empty. We didn’t ask for more water and felt we were tricked into paying for two 10 dollar bottles. I wished they would have told us before. Otherwise overall good experience. Not so many vegetarian options, wish for more.“

“We were so grateful to have such an amazing second dinner with them. We met the owner and she was so caring and generous, my wife is 7 months pregnant and they met all of our accommodations and then some. Alex was our sever/bartender and he did an amazing job. We live in Scottsdale and have experienced fine dining all our lives but Ill Poggio takes it to a new level! Thank you very much!!! Go check them out!“
