“We ate here for the first time yesterday! Right off the bat the service was immediate and entertaining, as the robot cat showed us to our seat. My 4 year old loved it!! The food was so delicious, even my picky child devoured it. Highly recommend the tempura rolls as they were perfectly crispy. We will absolutely be back!“

Our servers kept our water glasses full (this is a huge pet peeve of mine and our water genuinely never made it below half full) and were friendly. I would absolutely recommend the chicken and shrimp dumplings and the lo mein, but I would avoid the bok choy. I am a bok choy lover, but this is essentially a large portion of flavorless, boiled bok choy stems in an equally bland broth for $15. I will say, when we brought this to our server’s attention, they did remove the dish from our table and our bill with no problem, which we really appreciated. The chicken wings are literal perfection, but the sauce they come with was oddly refreshing for chicken wings.“

“Everyone was super nice here. Came in ordered soup dumplings, beef buns and rainbow fried rice. Beef buns and fried rice were phenomenal dishes. Soup dumplings were just okay. The broth and filling were just meh. But overall I would still come back and give it another try

Parking: It’s right by 16th street mall so parking was difficult at first to find but we eventually found some street parking $2/hr.“

“Absolutely love this new hot pot restaurant — and what a great addition to Northern Denver that’s lacking places like this!

The broth flavors are on point. The spicy Korean Tteok-bokki — alone or mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with the bulgogi — is the way to go! There’s also an extensive sauce bar for you to spice it up as much as you like.

The all-you-can-eat buffet is fantastic, featuring everything from bok choi, to noodles, to rice and fish cakes (yes!), to tofu, to baby squid, to raw egg you can crack into your boiling pot. Some really great options.

Of the meats, I highly recommend the beef tongue! Because it’s sliced cold/thin, I promise it doesn’t have a strange texture — but cooks really soft and delicious! There are lots of other beef, pork, and chicken options too, of course. Even lamb!

“I have always wanted to try this place, and I was finally able to today. I picked up General Chicken and Chicken Lo mein from the lunch menu. I loved every bite, and the portion for lunch was very generous and well priced. Quaint restaurant with a few tables inside but big flavors. Compared to others in the area, I was impressed with how good the food was. The online ordering made it very easy, and the food was ready when I had got there. The lunch specials are affordable. The two ladies working behind the desk were very sweet. I 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant for great asian food because you can tell, they put a lot of effort into making their food, and making it delicious for their customers. Thanks guys!!“

“My partner and I have been going to this place for 3 years now, and it's the best place around for Asian food. Their wontons NEVER miss, spring rolls are amazing, and their meat is always delicious. We always order takeout and it's ready within 20 minutes every single time. This place is a treasure, and the name change did not impact the quality! Wish they still served duck though, it was my favorite menu item.“

“The food is great. The service is great. The place is great. I've been eating here for years, and I genuinely love this store so much.

All around, Tokyo Joe's has great food and generally pretty great service, but this location always stands out. On a day where things aren't too busy and the order isn't too complicated, there's a chance your order might come out before you even have a chance to sit! It's genuinely so impressive! It's all super fresh, it's all super tasty, and it's all super worth it!

They're also great about accommodating allergies! It's a great spot to eat with lots of freedom within the menu!

Vegetarian options: Everything has a variant with either just veggies or (tasty) Tofu to replace the original protein.

Dietary restrictions: Super allergy friendly and they take allergies and dietary restrictions super seriously! I've never heard of someone not being able to eat at Tokyo Joe's due to a dietary restriction.

Parking: Parking lot right out front with bike parking next to the patio!

Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly with plenty of menu options!

Wheelchair accessibility: While it is possible to get in with a wheelchair, it can be difficult to navigate narrow parts of the dining room.“

“Was here for quick lunch while on conference in nearby hotel. There were little people and service was pretty prompt. Had the standard tonkutsu ramen and it was pretty good - comparable to a decent ramen place in SF. Broth was flavorful, chashu not too thick, egg was done just right.“
