“My husband and I tried Bora Restaurant for the first time last night. It was excellent!! The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! Our waiter was Alton, he did a wonderful job and always addressed my husband as Sir. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!!”

“Absolute BEST Lebanese restaurant I’ve ever been to! Authentic dishes. Sooooo incredibly flavorful! You feel like a part of the family once you walk through those doors - make sure to taste the lamb special (my all time favorite!!) - it’s the owner’s grandma’s recipe and OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! (I don’t even like lamb but THIS dish is ABSURDLY delicious!!!) pay special attention to the huge pink pen at the register - haha my company pen!!”

“I can’t say enough about this place! The food is amazing and I love that they add new things all the time. Literally everything I’ve tried there has been beyond my expectations. I try to bring new people whenever we go so they don’t miss out! I’ve attended fun events there as well. The staff is so friendly and they make you feel at home. We went for brunch last Sunday and it couldn’t have been better. Rachel was so kind and we all can’t wait to go back!”

“Dr. Mike's Ice Cream is BY FAR the best ice cream I have ever had anywhere. No contest. I have been eating it for at least 25 years, and my conviction about this has never wavered. At all. Ever. I moved back to CT from Portland, OR about 2 1/2 years ago (lived there for about 5) and Dr. Mike's was prominent on the list of reasons I moved back. Portland is a food town, and nothing there is in the remote vicinity of Dr. Mike's. Salt and Straw, which has lines of customers around the corner in Portland, is NOTHING compared to Dr. Mike's. I just wish the new owner would pry the original recipe for blueberry ice cream from Robert Allison because Robert Allison changed it a few years before he sold and it is a pale shadow of its former greatness. The original blueberry was maybe the best thing I've ever eaten. But all the core flavors and many of the experimental new flavors are just phenomenal. Best ice cream on the planet.”

“Discovered Redding Roasters during COVID, when my shiny new espresso maker was rejecting bad supermarket coffee (smart machine). They kindly shipped until we could all be in person again. The coffee is amazing, the flavor recommendations on point. Support small business - take a nice drive, go here and buy a LOT of coffee.”

“I went to Whitlock's a couple of weekends ago and had the absolute best meal. I ordered the French dip and it was mouthwatering good. My server's name was Tisha and she was honestly one of the best server's I've ever meet. Her smile light up the room and she went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy from the time I walked in, to the time we left. I would recommend Whitlock's to anyone who hasn't been.”

“Vesta was wonderful! I came with a couple friends for Sunday brunch and I will definitely be back to try dinner sometime. The restaurant is lovely with such a cute atmosphere. My biggest gripe is that it was a little hard to find the entrance, I actually went through La Zingara but thankfully the bartender there sent me the right way.
The restaurant is small but very cozy and clean looking.
The brunch is pre fixe and I ordered a Bellini and later tried their passionfruit rooftop seltzer. Both drinks were huge! The seltzer in particular was really nice and I would like to try the other flavors. For starters, my friends had the salad while I opted for the soup of the day (corn chowder). They were all very nice.

For our mains, I went with the chicken and waffles, while my friends ordered the sweet potato skillet and the breakfast pizza (minus the sausage). Everything looked fantastic! The only hiccup was that the pizza came out a bit undercooked, but our waitress was super accommodating and happily brought it back a few minutes later — the second time, it was perfect. The chicken and waffles were amazing! It had a good sized piece of boneless breast with a nice crunchy well seasoned crust sandwiched between two waffles with this wonderful bacon jam. The waffles on their own were very sweet, almost like they were crusted with sugar. But when eaten together with the chicken and bacon jam it was perfect. My friends also loved their dishes. The breakfast pizza was huge (she took half home!) and the crust was great, while the sweet potato skillet was hearty and flavorful.
The only weak spot of the meal was the dessert course. I had the Nutella crepe, and my friend had the chocolate gelato (the only other option was vanilla; no sorbet that day). The crepe was very disappointing. It was small, cold, and didn’t taste fresh. It just felt thrown together and barely had any nutella. The gelato was better, though I thought it was a bit icy in texture.

Overall, I really loved the vibe here and thought the food was great. It’s a charming little spot that would make a wonderful date or special occasion restaurant. I’m already looking forward to coming back for dinner sometime!”

“I’ve been trying to come here for late lunch, and I couldn’t ever make it since they close at 2:30. So, I finally made it here today. The wonton soup was good, with a thin wonton wrap and a good amount of pork filling. And I had my usual Thai curry chicken, which left me satisfied and happy. It’s a husband-and-wife team, and they’re so nice.”
