“Last night was my first time at Portobello Restaurant and as a local HS Culinary teacher, this spot is INCREDIBLE. Although small, the atmosphere is cozy with top tier hospitality. And the food? “MY FAMILY BROUGHT ME TO DINNER FRIDAY 3/29 AND I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE, TIMING OF FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE. I WAS A LITTLE DISSAPPOINTED IN THE SCALLOP ENTREE THAT STATED SEA SCALLOPS AND I RECEIVED 5 QUARTER SIZED SCALLOPS THAT SEEMED THIN FOR SEA SCALLOPS. “I love this restaurant. The food is always good and the female wait staff is great. The males, are on the rude side....one time throwing steak knives across the table when we requested them to cut our steaks. Every time we dine here, I am so annoyed with the lighting. Fluorescent lighting in a fine dining establishment is the worst. Please...please ...please put in recessed lighting that can be dimmed to make for a romantic dining experience.“

“Love this place, perfect lunch spot while working on the road. The steak sandwich.It is quite different from most places. This is not shaved steak, but cut very thinly. They roast your own peppers, which are excellent. There veal cutlet is also very good. They offer hot plates throughout the week that changes every day. It's a very authentic italian deli“

“Our second time trying Verona and both times we were very happy with our food. Our first visit we got pizza to go and it was the best margarita pizza we’ve ever had. Tonight we dined in and had the most amazing meals. They were super busy today and were out of some items so we had to change our order but I am so glad we did. The penne ala vodka was the best I’ve ever had and my husband loved the lasagna. The server, Harmony, was so kind and attentive. Portion sizes were very generous and now I have lunch for tomorrow as well. We will definitely be back!“

“I've lived in this neighborhood for seven years and watched this restaurant change hands multiple times. The current owners are amazing. The rice and chicken is amazing but my preferred choice is a turkey grinder. Im very specific and my grinder is always made to perfection with care and good energy. Half of the staff remembers me at this point. The restaurant is clean as per usual and the music is soothing. If you haven't come to order I would highly recommend that you do!
Also since im adding a photo, my order is light turkey cheese all the veggies, extra mayo, vinegar and pepper. I had to specify since my personal sandwich may not look appetizing to some.“
