“We are visiting the area and tried Mangetsu and I am so glad we did. It tastes authentic, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the service was great. I had the chicken fried rice and it was delicious, but we also ordered the chicken katsu and it was incredible. Definitely recommend!“

“Delicious, fresh, and well portioned! Ordered their sashimi deluxe and a few of their spicy rolls. The sashimi is fresh and tastes great. The slices are good and not overly thin like some other restaurants. The spicy rolls had a good portion of fish mixed in, vs some other restaurants that overdo the sauce mix and put a tiny bit of fish in. The only part I didn't enjoy as much was an ala carte order of scallop sashimi.. maybe it just isn't in season because it tasted bland. But everything was good enough I would definitely order again.
In town for a business trip and craved some sushi. Wasn't liking lots of the places on Uber Eats and so stumbled upon this one. Was a little bummed my hotel was 0.5 miles outside their delivery radius, then discovered they're on GrubHub as well, which allowed my delivery! And I'm glad I stuck it out! This place beats even some of my favorites back home!“

“Possibly one of the best spontaneous lunch experiences you'll have that will make you making plans to come back! Liz and recent trainee Chris did a phenomenal job making mouth-watering sushi burritos for us. The flavors matched perfectly, every note had its spotlight, and the burrito was manageable to eat. Nothing spilling gratuitously out the sides or anything. Fantastic atmosphere, super friendly and patient staff, just do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a luxurious sushi burrito while you're in West Hartford!“

“This is my go to spot with my boyfriend. There’s never any question with quality of food, the food is amazing each time you go. They have perfected their menu and the cooks are truly masters with their craft. Best food in the area, and if you’re not in the area it’s worth the travel. “The sushi was absolutely amazing!! The only thing I'd tell you to be careful of is look at the end charge and save your receipt. I went with a friend after visiting my son in the hospital and we showed up at 8pm and I remember how much the total was cause she left the tip and taught me a trick, but I was so flustered I lost the receipt but the cleared charge was $7 more. Otherwise the special rolls were amazing!! And the tea was very calming.“

“‼️Really delicious food, I'd call it excellent! If you enjoy sushi, this is the place to go. Sometimes on the weekends the parking lot is packed full, so if you enjoy their food, it may be better to simply call ahead. However, there are a few inaccuracies on their this Facebook website. First their current hours are posted as "always open", of couse this cannot be true in the least bit. “Food was excellent. Was lucky to be there on a night where they had japanese imported oysters. Got some excellent a5 along with some top quality sushi. Was a very fun experience to share with my daughter who appreciated the entire meal.“

“My boyfriend and I tried Poke Sushi in Vernon tonight! We ordered the California roll, the veggie roll, and the shrimp tempura roll with mango added. The rolls were made immediately as we started paying for our food. It was neat to watch them being made. When we sat down to eat; they were amazing! The ingredients were VERY fresh! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!!! We scarfed down the rolls and forgot to take a picture 😂“

“The staff here are the best! Arrived after 9pm after a long drive and without a reservation, was seated immediately. We ordered a habachi combo and when the salad arrived with a lot of dressing we asked the staff to cook our habachi with no seasoning. They said yes but asked the manager to speak to us to understand exactly what we wanted. In the end she suggested less sauce. The beef and prawns were perfect (tender & juicy) as were the rest of the plate. Hot and satisfying! The Rock & Roll was also fantastic, well proportioned. Very good experience and will return when we are in town!“
