“Went for Sunday brunch after Church and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the experience.Vegetarian options: This would be an easy place to enjoy an omelette or poached eggs with toast.Parking: Plenty of easily accessible parkingKid-friendliness: kid friendly restaurant“
“I stopped in this pizzeria restaurant today and grabbed a slice of mozzarella pizza pie on the advice of a gentleman from the area stating this place is clean and consistently has good pizza. It is New Haven style. There is a restaurant here if someone wants to have a sit down meal.I noticed they have stuffed breads that sound delicious and some desserts that look delicious. The young lady that served me was nice. She assured me with her unbiased opinion that the pizza is good here, which I verified to be true.“
“Olea, is a top tier restaurant, creative and exciting yet grounded in the Spanish way. The drinks were very good I had the signature Manhattan. For appetizer the ceviche mixto was amazing, originally thrown off my the red sauce but WOW it was such a compliment to the lemon and seafood. My main meal was the fish of the day (Black Sea bass) and it was cooked to perfection and placed on butter beans and a mild yet appealing salsa verde. Food was on par for a great restaurant in any major city. We are so happy to have one of this caliber so close to home.“
“Their organic butternut squash is incredible. Amazing menu, excellent with any food allergy you can think of (dairy, nuts, fish, grain, soy, eggs...), where the food is actually delicious no matter what your restriction is. Normally buckwheat pancakes taste a little gritty, but not these! These (vegan! GF!) ones are fluffy and beautiful and taste right like your childhood. Even the free refill coffee is excellent. We tend to spend quite a bit when we come because their cocktail menu is too good. This place is making me consider moving to West Haven just so I can eat there all the time.Vegetarian options: Incredible vegan breakfast and vegan lunch menus!Dietary restrictions: Incredible selection of gluten free baked goods (the sandwich bread is delicious!)“
“I can't believe I had never visited Sugar before, but better late than never! My mom requested to go for her birthday, and this bakery is a literal cupcake heaven! The staff was super nice and let us take our time to look through the cases and decide what we were going to pick out for our dozen. So many festive cupcakes for St. Patrick's Day and Easter that we loved! We've totally fallen in love with this bakery and they're by far some of the best cupcakes in CT. I already can't wait to go back!“
“Great pizza and sides. Should be in the New Haven Pizza conversation more often.Brick oven, Fresh ingredients, nice crunch and undercarriage/ crust. About 5 two person tables So not much for sitting in. More of a take out spot. Well worth it to go pick it up. Out of the down town city area. In Quiet East “
“Lovely little spot with delicious food and drinks! We showed up at 10:30 on a Sunday and got a table after only about 5 min of waiting. The cardamom latte was delicious, as were the California sandwich and the mushroom/squash crepe. Staff were extremely friendly as well!“
“I used to come here when I lived in New Haven! What a joy. Haven’t lived in CT in several years but this market just popped into my mind. Brought a smile to my face just remembering the really really early stages of my health journey. Thank you for being a place of not only fresh food but mind expansion. I would spend hours in there just reading about the vitamins, supplements, health foods, etc.! Really a wonderful time!“
“First time firsts. So delicious. So unbelievably filling. Next time, I'll get a mini. Huge variety...made with a view, too¡! Highly suggest if you haven't...you do. You're welcome, because if you could you would thank me...?“
“Came here for some drinks which were excellent! Happened to be happy hour so that was also a bonus. Ambiance of the whole place is super chill and cozy and not too loud for how busy it was which was great, didn't have to tell for the person sitting next to me to hear me. Didn't order any food but I watched a bunch of food come out and it looked amazing so I will definitely be back!“
“Really delicious, decadent, gorgeous and creative desserts here. They use high-quality ingredients which is reflective on the price. We tried the pistachio cream puff and coconut tart. Both were divine, but a little pricey!!! I believe it was $13 for coconut tart and $4 for cream puff.“
“We love DiSorbo's! Those cannolis that you see were stuffed with care by Steve. We called and asked him if we could do a gender reveal cannoli, and he said absolutely. It was such a fun way to find out ourselves and then to share with our families. This is one of the best cannolis around the rest of the shop always smells good. They also have a truck. You can see at Events or rent. We go there not because it's just close to home, but because it's a really great experience every time.“
“My visits have been quite frequent lately, as I have been impressed by the great atmosphere and the impeccable service provided by our server, Brianna. She is truly amazing - always pleasant and willing to make things right if they happen to be amiss. Moreover, the food at Homes is simply amazing! I highly recommend that you give it a try. They also offer a gluten-free menu, which is a great option for those with dietary restrictions. I believe you would enjoy dining at Homes as much as I have.“
