Florian Belgian Restaurant offers solid Belgian food with fair prices for the area. The pot of mussels is big and good value with four or five different varieties of broth, and they have dollar oysters between 3 and 6pm which is a steal. The steak frites with a nice au poivre sauce on the side is nicely seasoned and includes sauteed spinach. The squid ink pasta is flavorful, though there were a couple of broken shells. The salmon tartare is absolutely stunning, fresh, delicate, and plated like a piece of art. The rockfish is perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Desserts like the chocolate mousse are rich and smooth. The room is beautiful with a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Service can be a little slower than expected, and tables are very close together. Parking can be a bit tricky, mostly street parking or nearby paid lots. The restaurant is more of a splurge or special night out. Overall, the food is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, and guests would definitely come back.
