“This is the best Chinese cuisine in the area, the ingredients are TOP NOTCH. The fried rice is white with veggies and your meat of choice. All the dishes have more vegetables and the taste is unlike any of the Chinese takeout in the area, I have tried them all“

“Honestly the best Chinese food place in the area, maybe in all of Fairfield County! I'm extremely picky about my Chinese and have been disappointed at least a little bit at every place I've tried up here since college but this place is fantastic!
And they're always so friendly!
10000/10 would recommend!“

“We stopped in here for takeout while on the way home. Very unassuming from the outside. The staff was friendly and the food was ready in about 10 minutes as promised. Not as expensive for combination plates as sone other places have been recently.Overall the food was good. The dumplings were amazing. I would go back just for them. I also liked how the chicken was cut into smaller pieces for the General Tso. It allows for more of the sauce to seep into the chicken. Will definitely be getting food here again.“

“It is near impossible to describe in words how much better this restaurant is than their competition. My wife and I are so glad to have them near us. They don't do anything fancy, they just do everything right. Thank you moonstar!!!!!!“

“I'm really picky about Chinese food. These guys are hands down the best in the area. I've tried other local restaurants and been throughly disappointed. I've always been pleased with what they serve and their service. Shout out to their dumplings in particular, not too doughy, not too greasy.. Just perfect!“

“I ordered the pork fried rice and boneless pork ribs and they were both very good, only waited about 10 minutes for them to make my order, the service was great and polite, place was very clean with a couple of tables for anyone who wanted to eat in.“

“SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein and lemon chicken. The fried dumplings were perfect and the sauce was on point. The shrimp lo mein was fresh and the lo mein and chicken were also excellent.
The service was super friendly and they gave me a free lemonade.“

“I’m a New Yorker and if you know you know!! The picture doesn’t do them any justice, but the food is always fresh, delicious and the sell plantains, which is a huge plus in my book. I haven’t found any good food in this area, until I tried them! And their honey wing? trust me, you won’t be disappointed! ?????“

“wow, I'm seriously impressed! First of all, all of the staff were very friendly, and became friends quickly. When i was picking it up, they were super fast with the food and was still incredibly hot! I highly recommend the crab Rangoon, because they're really crispy on the outside and hot, sweet and savory in the inside!! you should go visit main moon at New Fairview!“

“I've gotten take out from Fortune Cookie a few times and can safely say the food is consistently good. They prepare the meals rather quickly, lunch specials are fairly priced and filling. I love their egg rolls and general tsaos chicken. Highly recommend for Chinese take out lunch or dinner.“

“Went for a meal to eat after a long day at work. Was looking for a simple, stomach filling place to eat for a decent price. This place was just that. The girl at the front who seems to be the daughter saw me and stood up to take my order. The food was ready in just a few minutes but they still tasted amazing. They're not world-changing, but you get what you pay for. I also had a nice conversation with the owner, making the space really comfortable. I've been to several Chinese takeout restaurants around states (I travel a lot), but this place gave me such a hearty experience I just had to rate it.“

“We recently moved to New Fairfield from Queens, NY - so appreciate good Chinese/Japanese/Korean food. We've tried and been disappointed by all the Chinese restaurants north of I-84, so decided to venture further afield and ordered takeout from Beijing Chinese to bring with us to an event held at the Charter Oak Brewery (which doesn't serve food - so encourages patrons to bring their own). Tough to see/find off White St, Beijing is buried in a nondescript food, strip mall perpendicular to White St - also containing a pizza joint, a sandwich deli and Jamaican j*** joint. Beijing was buzzing with patrons awaiting their takeout; the other 3 establishments were dead - so others must also like Beijing's food. Items such as egg rolls, wontons & dumplings most restaurants buy frozen from whole sellers and so taste uniformly Meh! But the 3 freshly prepared dishes we ordered were very good: Beef Chow Fun, General Tso's Chicken. Hot & Spicy Chicken - about as good as any Queens neighborhood Cantonese takeout, though not up to Flushing Standards. This restaurant is strictly takeout; you wait on the sidewalk and the the transaction takes place thru a window (Good for Covid-19 precautions). We will make the schlep and further explore their menu!“
“There are no real surprises here. That's the good news. You've certainly seen the menu before. And on the big menu there is lots of good stuff. Our family has been going here for two generations, really countless times. Cocktails. White tablecloth. Speedy service. Large portions. Full bar. And most important tasty eats at fair prices.“

“We all know the difference between 'clean Chinese food' and 'dirty Chinese'.. the dirtier the better. (In a Very Sanitary way) This is dirty Chinese. Super saucy, full of flavor, very friendly staff. Everything is made to order, so any personal preference in regards to your order are fully recognized and accommodated. I think the only downfall is there beverage selection. Otherwise this is the only Chinese food place that we order from, and there are at least five other options in the area. Ming Garden is definitely one of the best“

“This downtown Chinese restaurant has a quick inexpensive buffet or you can order from the take out menu. We have had both while we visited Danbury, CT. The buffet is fresh and we enjoyed the chicken and broccoli, the veggie lo mein, and the string beans. It is an all you can eat buffet for a flat fee. We ordered won ton soup for lunch one day. A pint of soup contained four big wontons in a tasty broth. Dark and kind of dreary interior, but just sit by the windows so if it bothers you.“

“I liked their egg rolls the most and then their steamed dumplings and their fried dumplings and then even their sesame chicken was okay, but I don’t think I will order their vegetable lomein again… But I did like their homemade tea and their homemade hot chili oil too ??The lady who took my order was pleasant ?? but as for their atmosphere? — let’s just say they look busy… ? I wonder if management wants to grow their business into a bigger space? I know a place similar to them that was in business for years and years and did so well that they closed for a number of weeks while they remodeled themselves into a really nice buffet with a hibachi chef and a sushi chef too ????“

“They make a delicious PuPu platter! One of the only places around that actually have spare ribs on the bone!Everything is always delicious and seasoned and they use enough real Chinese vegetables not just celery and onion as some other places do. Very happy the last few times I've come down here the meal is always excellent and they don't mess up they get everything right.“

“I've been trying to find some decent Chinese food in the area and I was ecstatic when I found Great Taste Fusion! Honestly some of, if not the best hot & sour soup I've ever had plus the shrimp dim sum dumplings are a delicious go-to every time. Highly recommend; cannot wait to get a chance to dine-in.“

“Food and service is always consistent and awesome. I haven't had better chicken and broccoli anywhere else other than here. Also the Szechuan chicken is amazing. I always get about 2-3 different things just cuz it's always so good. I end up spending like 50$ on myself only. Definitely a must try if you haven't already.“

“i thought this buffet was pretty good. the sushi didn't have a lot of options but if you want simple California rolls, or tuna on rice, their sushi will hit the spot. plus there's tons of good hot food.. i thought the squid was good.. the clams in black bean sauce was really good.. the wife said the pepper steak and pepper chicken was really good. the price was under $100 for 3 adults and 2 kids. i thought that was reasonable too.“

“Moon Star is by far the best Chinese takeout in the Brookfield/Danbury area. Please follow @fairfieldfooddude
Immediately upon entering you will notice the typical faded backlit menu seen in so many New York spots we love and enjoy. As you walk by the fish tank you are greeted with some of the most friendly service you will ever get. All the food here is prepared fresh, never frozen, and always has the perfect crisp to juiciness ratio.
Compared to other Chinese spots in the area this place is not only better service and better quality, but better prices as well. Our recent order was over ten items and it was still under 80 bucks. Unfortunately they do not deliver but are always open for takeout. Trust me. Moon Star is worth the trip!“
