“The people in there are nice. The place is clean but it's a little bit too much like if McDonald's was trying to be a Chinese restaurant for me. The food is okay and if I was on a road trip I would eat it again if it was this or like a Burger King or something but it's not a destination for me“

“Since we first discovered this restaurant about five years ago, it has become our absolute favourite buffet. There is always a great selection of seafood dishes. The hibachi station has lots of variety and the preparation is on point. The sushi station is very generous with new items often added. My other personal favourites are the spare ribs and the coconut shrimp. The service is attentive, pleasant and courteous and they maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times. The value of this buffet is amazing and would be difficult to match anywhere. This restaurant provides variety, freshness, cleanliness and great service.“

“Food is excellent! Used to be an Oriental Gourmet in Southbury customer but switched because the quality and taste of their food degraded so much within the last year or so and never got better. Plus errors with take out orders were the last straw. Fortune House is definitely worth the trip from Southbury to Southford! Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“SO 🏮 DELICIOUS 🍤. This is not your average Chinese food restaurant. The owners are super nice, the food is tasty and fresh, the atmosphere brings you back to 1993 (that's a compliment btw 😂). I've now devoured the orange chicken combo, the sesame chicken combo, the crab rangoon, and tried my wife's General Tao's Chicken. I am constantly impressed. Now here's the thing ... the rice HITS. Fried rice these days is usually forgettable, either super oily or just tastes old. NOT HERE. I'm a veg fried rice person, and the rice is fragrant and addictive. The prices are also VERY FAIR. “Perfect choice! Ordered lunch shrimp with broccoli with curry sauce. It came with fried rice. Looked and tasted great! Loved the no MSG comments, and that soup, soda, or egg rolls were optional add-ons and not automatic. Swift friendly service, and sauces and utensils were easily available. “After seeing a movie down the street, my family and I came to Oriental Gourmet for dinner. There was plenty of seating and the restaurant had a classic, retro vibe. We were impressed that they had so many different Asian cuisines to choose from! For our first visit we stuck primarily to Chinese food, but it’s good to know they have sushi too. Almost every dish was good, but my mom didn’t really love her Mongolian beef and said it had a weird grittiness to it. Our server was attentive and they refilled our waters often. Not a bad spot!“

“For a little hole in the wall place, the food is really good. My son loves the General Tsos. The boneless ribs are my favorite. The one downfall, no real duck sauce, only the packets which I can't eat.

And the smile I get when I get my food that's customer service. The kids (15 year old and were eventually caught) got my vehicle, my wallet, all my work equipment, a brand new pair of Jordan sneakers I bought for my friend for his birthday. Ihad to cancel all of.my cards and had no cash and I walked i to this restaurant and told them what happened and I only did it because I was sooooooooohungry my stomach was starting to eat itself. And I walked into the restaurant and told them my situation and I had no money but they hooked me up with some.food for free. That's it. These people are beautiful people. And the food is just as Beautiful as the people. Prior to moving to this town my.uncle who lived here told me that he used to try as much as he could to leave extra tips because the children were always studying in the restaurant and my m uncle wanted to contribute to their learning . “In my experience the food has always been good, even if it is very expensive. The only reason for 4 stars is because there has been a couple times where the order has been wrong. So if you live in the area and are craving Chinese food, I would definitely recommend!“

“The best Golden fingers compared to others, it tastes and looks like actual chicken! Egg rolls and fried rice also always fresh and flavorful!! Staff is always friendly and orders always ready on time! Not my fav style for the crab Rangoon or the boneless spare ribs, but also not bad.
