“Great This is a family run business with the freshest food! Don't be fooled by the small front. They made my food exactly the way i like it. I dont like the sauces, so he steamed my veggies and out fresh sliced ginger in it too flavor it, just as i love!! Yum!! I don't eat Chinese or a lot but will go out of my way to eat here again!! A+. This is the best!! When i asked for no msg, he said they don't use msg!! They don't need to! Even the rice was delicious and fluffy! Im not a rice person! Love the meal i had tonight and would expect the same next v time since my guess is always the same cook, who did an awesome job!“
“The staff are always friendly and friendly. The food is exquisite and always fresh. I am proud to eat here to support local businesses and make good memories with my friends. Even the most discerning diners can find food choices suitable for all tastes.“
“Great service, atmosphere, and most importantly - amazing food! Highly recommend the scallion pancake roll with twice cooked pork, it was so good and our favorite dish. Dan Dan noodles also great. I'll be back to try the bao, the soup dumplings were good but not my favorite.“
“Chef Jiang in Farmington boasts an authentic menu that deviates from the usual Americanized Chinese fare. While I appreciate their commitment to regional Chinese cuisine, my experience fell a bit short of expectations. At first when we arrived they were mopping the floors and the cleaner smell overpowered our senses. We started with an array of dumplings, excited to dive into this cornerstone of Chinese dim sum. The vegetable fried dumplings were undeniably fresh, showcasing crisp wrappers and plump fillings. However, the flavor profile leaned too heavily on the sauce we dipped them in leaving them a bit one-dimensional. The shrimp and sticky rice shumai came across similarly, with the offering a punch of fishiness that overpowered. The highlight of our meal were the dumplings in chili sauce. Each bite burst with a satisfying heat, balanced by the richness of the filling. Again, the freshness of the dumplings shone through, but the flavor could have benefited from additional complexity. The soup dumplings mirrored the above sentiment.Ultimately, while Chef Jiang offers a refreshing departure from the familiar, the execution didn't quite match the ambition. The emphasis on freshness is commendable, but I yearned for more nuanced flavors in the fillings and sauces. We ended up stopping before delving further into the menu, as the portions were generous.Would I recommend Chef Jiang? It depends on your culinary compass. If you're an adventurous diner seeking authentic Chinese flavors, it's worth a try. However, if you crave Americanized Chinese food, you might leave wanting more“
“This place was pretty good. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever eaten at. The atmosphere is wonderful and my waiter, Sebastian, should get a damn raise because he is so nice. I got the spicy Chang chicken or whatever and it was very tender. The only complaint I'd have was that this place is slightly pricier compared to other Chinese restaurants (my meal costed like 19 bucks or around there). Even the fortune cookies tasted good.“
“A very few and far between authentic asian restaurant here in CT. I have been to Xi'an on multiple occasions and I can truly say the food is AUTHENTIC. Not only is the food great but so is the service. The LiangPi noodles is a well know street food in Xi'an and they have successfully brought it here to my neighborhood. Upon the other dishes I have tried, my personal favorites are the cumin beef noodle, spicy sour lamb dumplings, as well as the pork sauce noodles. I highly recommend this place as this is now my go to food spot!“
“A MUST. I'm from out of state and every single time I visit I ask to go here. Consistently delicious. My go-to is general tso chicken. Never a 'weird' piece of meat, very crispy and generous portion. We've tried basically every appetizer on the menu, all 10/10. Our favorites are crab Rangoon, and the spring rolls. The cocktails are very tasty, the lemon drop especially. Some drinks are served in fun glasses like a tiki! Service is great, very friendly and attentive. Never have to wait too long but I also like that the food doesn't come out asap too. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will continue coming back!“
“Food was delicious. Soup bowl is huge - best shared with another person.I had the beef tomato and pineapple. It was fantastic.Dietary restrictions: Our friend who was with us is allergic to onions. They left them out of her meal. Her husband's meal had onions and they were very willing to take it back ane replace it so they could share. We asked for no cilantro and were happy with our meal.Parking: It's a storefront restaurant in a shopping plaza with a large parking lot.“
“Decided to stop in and try for the first time and the food was actually delicious and did not taste old like other Chinese take out! The lady in the front is so sweet and welcoming truly made the experience even better she even gifted my daughter a little cake! I would definitely go back.“
“We loved this place! Authentic Chinese food - Stephanie. The Chengdu dumplings and cold rabbit appetizers were fantastic! my son had the crisp pork belly, and I had the sliced smoked duck. Soooooo delicious! Can't wait to bring the hubs here.“
“Exceptional food. Wife used to live down the street so she'd go frequently now we live farther away but whenever in the area prioritize stopping there and getting food. Sonny the owner is one of the nicest most personable people on the planet making the visit there exponentially better. Definitely go here and eat you will love it and want to go back. Sonny don't ever stop being a great person. Thank you.Parking: Tough parking but you'll find a spot and there's side road/behind building spots.Kid-friendliness: Kids items available.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes front accessible.“
“Great sushi, great service, great price. Can't beat it (get the large sake?)Honestly love a lot of the sushi places. As long as the ingredients are fresh you really can't go bad with sushi and it was all fresh and delicious here. And I love that it looked family owned and operated, I like the more relaxed places like this, it makes it more comfortable. I'll definitely be back here again and again ♡♡“
“Another amazing dinner! You know it's good when you can't stop thinking about it in order again within a week. Tonight I ordered the Singapore noodles (again) because they were so delicious, and I also got the vegetable soup which was excellent and I really really enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps- check out the pictures, definitely give them a try!“
“The food at Cheng's Kitchen is very good and fresh. I will and have recommended this restaurant to family and friends. I have also posted a photo of my food many times on my Facebook page. The turnaround time for delivery is very quick. The restaurant is in a convenient location and a nice place to eat.“
“This is the best place. I don't live that close and sometimes when craving Chinese food I have caved and tried the recommended places near me and I always regret not just driving to Burlington. Every time I have gotten food here it has been delicious, consistent and it always hits the spot. I highly recommend them.“
“I've lived in Beijing, Hong Kong, and rural China for over 5 years in total. Now living in rural Massachusetts it is difficult to find decent Chinese. I drove out of my way to try Lemongrass and I was pleased. The place was clean, neat, and tastefully decorated. The congyoubing (scallion pancake) was quite good as was the Mongolian beef. The taro bubble tea was outstanding. I'm sure it's a challenge to get the right ingredients in a place like this but this is the best Chinese food I've found within an 1 hour radius so it's worth the trip in my view. And to add, the owner couple was extremely friendly and chatty so I had a chance to practice my Mandarin Chinese.“
“I love Mama Khang. This is my go to this side of the CT River for Vietnamese. Service is a bit slow. But I commend Mama Khang working as hard as she does at her age. For good food, it's worth the extra patience and grace to support this small business.“
“Takeout review:I read that this is not your normal Chinese takeout spot so I had to check it out. They serve authentic Chinese Szechuan cuisine and has locations in West Hartford and Fairfield. I ordered the hot appetizer, Chengdu Dumplings which are steamed pork dumplings with their special garlic sauce; this was sweet, spicy, and in hot chili oil. The flavors were delicious and I should've ordered two of these to make an entree. For my entree, I had the crispy chicken in spicy garlic sauce. Since this was a takeout order, they had the sauce in a separate container so the chicken won't be soggy. Before pouring the sauce over your chicken, make sure to shake it first. The sauce was okay and not that spicy. I probably wouldn't order this again. The next time, I want to try our the Dan Dan noodles, Seven Flavors Wonton, Spicy Cumin Beef, Chong Qing chicken, and many more. The prices were definitely higher than other Chinese spots. Overall, a good Szechuan spot for your non typical Chinese dishes.“
“We loved this place! Authentic Chinese food - Stephanie. The Chengdu dumplings and cold rabbit appetizers were fantastic! my son had the crisp pork belly, and I had the sliced smoked duck. Soooooo delicious! Can't wait to bring the hubs here.“
“Dinner plates were huge and really good! I think for the price it’s a good value. My one issue was some of the piece of chicken were tough but overall it was good. For the first time in a long time my general Tso’s chicken was actually spicy.“
“I had a boneless rib luncheon with ribs cooked soft and extra sauce. It. Was. EXCELLENT!!! My other luncheon orders, shrimp w snow peas, and General Tso's Chicken were excellent as well. Order from China Wok, and you won't be disappointed.“
“Always great food the owners are always so friendly and our orders are always correct hot and delicious. They always remember us as well definitely a staple in the southington community. The website says they take credit they do not . They also deliver and always do so promptly.“
“When I called my order in, I told the gentleman that I do not want onions or mushrooms in anything. When I finished my check the map for driving directions, my phone rang again it was the gentleman from the gentleman from the restaurant. He called to ask if I also didn't want onions in the fried rice that came with the General Tso's combo platter. He could have assumed it was for another person, but he didn't It was for me and I so appreciate his going the extra mile for my health (I'm allergic to onions). As to the food, it was good, solid well- made fare. For my taste, it needed a little tweaking --- a little soy sauce here, a little duck sauce there and a pretty fine dinner, breakfast and lunch. Yum!Dietary restrictions: I covered how seriously they take this in my review.“
“I’ve been eating from this place for over a year and it’s very good Chinese food. They don’t participate with delivery services and they also don’t deliver. I’m sure they are losing a lot of business by not getting with the times. I go here often and it’s the very best tasting Chinese. I’ve tried so many and the others have all been disappointing.“
“By far the best Chinese food in Central CT. Thank you so much for your excellent cuisine. Good food really feeds the soul! For people upset with the phone etiquette - try to understand this is a very busy restaurant with high call volumes. The outstanding meal is worth it.“
