“We recently celebrated my mother`s 100th birthday at Pulcinellas with about 40 friends and family and everyone is still talking about it ! Linda ensured perfection all around. The pizza, antipasto, entrees (chicken champagne, veal francese, eggplant rolatini, penne a la vodka), and sides were delicious and plentiful. The pistachio BD cake was gorgeous and tasted out of this world! the staff was so attentive to everyone's needs and the piano player added to the festive atmosphere. Thank You Linda, John and team for making the event so special and memorable for my mom and our entire family“

“I would walk 500 miles... Well maybe not walk 500 miles. But I will drive 350 miles round trip. Just to have dinner at one of my favorite Restaurants in my old neighborhood. Congrats to Kenny and his culinary and service team. Dinner for my party of 4 was delicious. The 3 specials Short Rib Ravioli, Chicken & Sausage Paella, and the Baby Rack of Lamb. The 4th dinner was our longtime favorite Gnocchi Sorentino. Walked out bellies full and pallets completely satisfied. Oh yeah, don't forget the Fried Burrata. Anytime I'm in Brookfield I will visit Portobellos. Love this place.“

“We had Mangia Mangia cater our recent rehearsal dinner - it was hands down the best food we have had in a long time. Everything was perfect- Raquel was a tremendous help and she took all the stress away from hosting a large party. I HIGHLY recommend using them for anyone looking for catering a large event. Bladimir, Joline and all the staff were very accommodating- we even called and got 10+pizzas delivered the day after the wedding too!! Huge Hit!!“

“Famous pizza has always been our go-to place for pizza and more, for many years! Most recently, Perry and his staff were able to accommodate a group of 9 for a birthday celebration - when the kid wants Famous, you get Famous. The staff had a large table set up and reserved (on a Saturday night) and our pizzas literally came out of the oven as we walked in the restaurant! We were checked on frequently and well taken care of. Another reason why Famous is truly the best in town!“

“Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! “This is our favorite local restaurant. My kids are obsessed with their spaghetti and meatballs. We’ve tried many different entrees and loved each of them. Authentic and delicious Italian food. Gluten free pasta options are delicious. Brickhouse is also our go to for pizza, best in the area! We’ve used their catering for a family party and everyone raved about how good it was- especially the penne alla vodka! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate and the prices cant be beat.“

“TakeOut Pizza. I am a real foody. Come from NYC. This is the closest thing to NYC pizza I've had since moving to Putnam, then Westchester, and now Fairfield county. Always on time for take out. Pizza well made. Any issues are resolved without difficulty and with apologies. LOVE IT. I have not tried any other meals since I am a home chef and eat this pizza when in a pinch.“

The pasta bolognese was rich and flavorful, the chicken cacciatore was perfectly cooked, and the garlic knots were a delicious must-have. We also really enjoyed the fresh combo salad. The delivery was prompt and the food arrived hot and fresh. Franco's delivers a fantastic dining experience right to our door. “Don't get a sandwich that you know is covered in sauce delivered if you're going to complain about it being soggy. Don't order a pizza like this in Connecticut if you can't handle relatively thin crust. Don't give local businesses bad reviews based on one questionable experience you had. So many of the bad reviews on this are for the pettiest things when, in reality, this is the best pizza you're going to get in this town (and I'd wager it's cheaper than Pepe's). Don't get me wrong, Pepe's is good, but every Pepe's location outside the original in New Haven isn't anything special and Soho provides as good if not better pizza at a similar if not lower price compared to the satellite locations (like the Danbury one). Also this is definitely local and Pepe's isn't so much. Support local and exercise sanity. This place is good“
