“To start with, I love the thick menu! I love that they give the back stories on the local products/farms they use. And the plethora of options make certain that both my husband and I can find something we like no matter what we're in the mood for. It's also nice to go to a restaurant that has more than the same 6 things everybody else has and to know those items are made with locally sourced products. I can end with a cupcake made from scratch which also supports another small business instead of something premade from the same manufacturer everyone sources their desserts from. “One of the best restaurants in Newtown, and around CT. Only thing that would make it better is make the filet mignon and a fish dish a staple. It's done SO WELL there, that it needs to be on the menu every night. Don't switch it up that much. People want to come back to enjoy what they know is there. My husband and I shared a VEGAN Mezza Special (12 plates) for two: Hommous, Baba Ghannouj, Tabbouli, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Falafel, Luby (Green Beans), Spinach Pies, Foul (Fava beans), Moujadara (lentils), Mousakaa, Fattouch (salad), Olives. Garlic knots had a lot of flavor in them. I appreciate that they give it way more than usual dob of butter and garlic. There are so many herbs in the oil that I devoured all of them instantly. The pasta fagioli was again super flavorful and freshly made. The lasagna was another fresh flavor bomb on a plate. They had my favorite type of pepperoni for the pizza, a bit of spice. As we were turning out, the owner went above and beyond and still offered to make us the two bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches we had wanted. The owner was extremely kind and we had great conversation with him. He told us this would be the best bacon egg & cheese we would have and he did not lie! The food was very good. He even gave us an additional crumb cake on the house as well. Overall experience was 10/10, we appreciate it very much & will be back! “
