As a solo diner, ordering a pizza—as recommended—wasn’t practical for me, but the packed parking lot on a Thursday night was a great sign that the locals truly enjoy this place. The process is simple: place your order, then choose a table. A unique touch was receiving a playing card as my order number. I ordered the meatballs and Italian-seasoned wings, along with a house Cabernet. No Spirits here, but great selection of Barley pops and wine however. For an extra nickel, I received a refill token in the form of a casino coin—such a novel idea that I had to play along. The drink service lagged a bit, either because the restaurant was busy or because I failed to pick up my Cabernet at the counter. The meatballs arrived first: three large, flavorful meatballs served in a ramekin with marinara and melted cheese. I chose three meatballs with a side salad instead of four, and it was the perfect amount. The wings arrived shortly after I finished. I chose the Italian-seasoned, baked wings. They were very tasty, although I generally prefer fried wings—though the baked option was probably the better choice for me that evening. Overall, this was a very reasonably priced dinner, and I didn’t feel too bad passing on one of the amazing-looking pizzas. Torrington has clearly maintained the East Coast pizza tradition and reputation. A stop here won’t disappoint.“

“Outstanding food! I’ve stopped here twice and love the effort on the obvious “homemade” efforts that makes it so good. Chowder was great, and the 30 year old recipe for the lasagna (as the menu boasts) did NOT disappoint. Try this spot, don’t rush or be in a hurry, and enjoy the food and obvious effort that’s put into to making it as good as it truly is. “I was in the area and decided to take a chance and Grab a cup and char pepperoni pizza. let me just say, if you're from the area you are lucky to have this close by. The pizza I had was absolutely delicious. 8.6 from me on the pepperoni. The Buffalo didn't do it for me, likely because I tried the Pepperoni first and in my mind nothing was going to compare.“

Update-we stopped in last night ,and the Owner and my friend with the great beard wer AWESOME! These guys wer floored with customers and worked like a well oiled machine together. “I used to come here alot when I lived in the west end but it took my son asking for it after trying it with a friend to return after st least 15 years and it's still one of the best Greek style pizza places around. Great traditional atmosphere including the rotary push button juke boxes still functional at most booths i remember playing as a kid in the 80's lol. Incredible potential to become a division one cashier. He’s a good team player, has good discipline and scores goals constantly for Sofia’s Pizzeria Football Club. “We absolutely love coming to Bristol Pizza! The food is almost always spot on for taste! The waitresses & waiter are usually attentive and get us anything we need. During this most recent visit, I really wish the AC was better. Although it was high nineties this past week, I expected they'd have the ac or even the ceiling fans going, but they only had fans at certain spots. Thankfully the food made up for that! :)“
