“Visited here over a year ago and cannot stop thinking about the best ever Lobster Roll..... planing a trip to the region and trying to figure out how to sneak in a two hour side trip!Update: Still the best. Traveled the northeast coast and tried several other places and decided to change departure plans so we could have it again. We bragged so much that a couple of friends from New Jersey made the drive to meet us.“
“The Ruben sandwich was excellent. Pastrami had good flavor, perfectly grilled and in good proportions. The Higgy steak and cheese sandwich my husband ordered was tasty as well, but our west coast background did leave us craving some au jus. It would have been exceptional with an au jus.The potato salad is a solid choice for your side dish. It is clearly homemade, and I will happily order it again.Service was pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere feels like the place the locals all know to go for breakfast or morning coffee, where everyone acknowledges each other or says hello on the way in. The cooking is excellent. A restaurant worth making sure your trip takes you by.“
“All time favourite brewery.Love the vibe, the unique and thoughtful brews, attention to detail in the quality of the beer from the Ingredients, all the way to the packaging. To top it off it feels good supporting a business who made the effort to lower their carbon footprint with a solar roof!Little House is top notch“
“As close to New Haven quality pizza that you will get around here! My dad use to own this restaurant and he made the best pizza…..I have to say the quality is just the same as when he owned it and they use all the best ingredients! I love Amatos and will be only getting my pizza from them from now on. The sausage topping specifically is my favorite, I haven’t asked but I can tell they use longhini which is the best ! :)“
“Yum yum yum. They lived up to their sign out front saying Best Sandwiches in town. I had the special Such and Such and my husband had a Wowzie. We both loved our sandwiches. Such a cute shop and wish we lived closer. They have a great cheese selection and specialty products. Can't say enough about this place. Also owner and staff were very friendly!“
“There’s such a variety of yummy treats at Essex Chocolates! I always find something to enjoy for myself or a gift to buy for a special occasion. They have a nice range of items from homemade to name brands to novelty. The handicap entrance is next to Scotch Plains Tavern; the entrance just outside the chocolate shop has a few steps. Plenty of parking on both sides. Check out the local handmade gifts or just stop in for a beverage or ice cream!“
“Leaving this review as I’m eating my to-go eggplant rollatini at home. I ate here often since I’m CT local and vegan, everything I’ve tried so far has been so dang delicious. My favorite is the tiramisu. The service is great too. They have indoor and outdoor sitting areas now although not much seating.“
“Exploring small eateries closer to home is at the top of my to-do list in 2024, and starting with Pa's Place was a total win. I needed to burn off some anxiety while waiting for my husband's surgery to finish, and one of the nurses was kind enough to give me some ideas on where to go. Naturally, I immediately got lost, but it resulted in my stumbling into this gem, so no complaints here.Pa's is set right beside the water with easy access to parking. They have an outdoor pickup window, patio seating and live music in the warmer months. The inside is small, but solid. The furniture is beautiful and sturdy. No wobbly tables at Pa's! There are some long seating options, too, so it would be easy to bring the whole family. The menu has a lot of options, which I love. I settled on Pa's Cubano with sweet potato fries and maaaaannnnn did it deliver. Salty, tangy, a little bit sweet, and the cruch factor was on point! The perfect combo if you ask me. The fries? BOMB. 10/10 will go back again. I can't wait to bring my husband there once he heals up!Live in or around Guildford? Visiting friends? Just on a vacation from life? Go to Pa's Place for your next meal. You won't be disappointed!“
“Really delicious pho. No tendon or tripe which is kind of a bummer but the soup itself is great. Friend had banh mi and said it was very good. Only reason I don't leave 5 stars is lack of tendon and tripe, and the cheap hard stools are really uncomfortable“
“It's a very cute little spot with a surprisingly welcoming tavern vibe. They are a hearth and fireplace away from peak cozy pub atmosphere. They have a good, and often rotating selection of beers, and the food I have tried has been good, and what I saw on other people's tables looked good. Definitely quality snacking to keep you drinking! The bartender was exceptionally friendly, and while juggling the crowd still made time to chat with us about beers and breweries. I have only been by a few times now, but it always makes me want to visit more often.Parking: Large parking lot in a plaza.“
“This place is great. I bring my kids here all the time for a "treat" that is actually very healthy. They love the smoothies, particularly the PB and Whey. I've probably been twenty times since I've moved to Madison and I get the Nutty Bowl every time, it's just too good! The ingredients are always super fresh and the employees are upbeat and friendly. My wife has started getting their oat bowls and says they're delicious. Sitting outside is great in the warmer months, not a ton of seating inside.“
“The beer was very good, the bartender was friendly and provided great service and explained all the different beers they had and made some great recommendations. The wings were very good, as was their special of day- sausage platter and pretzels. We highly recommend it and will return!“
“I was so excited to go to Sweet P's during our trip to Essex, especially after hearing they use Ashley's ice cream! We were greeted so kindly! I ordered lemon graham and salted caramel on a waffle cone. Both flavors were amazing, but man, was that lemon something special! We really enjoyed everything! This place is a must when visiting Essex.“
“I always wanted to visit the bookstore but never knew they have a small cafe in the back. My daughter didn't had any breakfast that day and I can always find a good excuse to try a new place, so we decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was super nice and friendly, they greeted us right away. They had a menu for Valentine's Day and looked so good we decided to try 2 drinks and share a breakfast sandwich. Our coffee drinks were very good, I had a hot mocha and my daughter opted for an iced special. Our California sandwich had boiled egg and a spicy spread with apple slices on the side. I will definitely come back or take something to go on my way to the beach!“
“haven't been back in over a decade and this pizza still stands up next to sally's in new haven as my favorite pizza. the crust is as thin and crispy, without sacrificing any structural integrity to hold up whilst eating, with the perfect amount of chew that deteriorates with a perfectmini burned spots that just burst the umami of the sauce as you eat it. nice to know that something that set such an impression on me when i lived a stones throw away throughout high school hasn't changed at all. also i don't remember them having baklava 15 years ago but needless to say it was masterfully made and i would implore anyone with a sweet tooth to try it, it's not overly moist like some baklava and the nuts were evenly spread making for a nice bite every time.“
“I'll start with this...when 2 friends and I walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation, we didn't. Their only reply was, "we don't have a table available at the moment".That's it! we were turned down! We asked a few more questions were able to get a reservation for 45 min later. The food was great, the wines were delicious. The wine tasting flights were about $18.“
