“We stopped into Cooley’s Kitchen while visiting family in Connecticut, and somehow it already feels like part of “home” for us. 🧡🐾 Jen helped us find a table near the back during dinner rush, which ended up being perfect. Low traffic, quieter, and right by a beautiful sunset. As disabled guests with a power chair, sensory overload can happen fast for us, especially in busy restaurants. Whether intentional or not, both Jen and Aaron seemed incredibly aware of the environment around us. Several times when the sun started shining directly into our eyes, one of them would naturally step into the light while checking on us so we could keep enjoying our cheeseburger grinder without getting overwhelmed. Small thing maybe, but it mattered a lot to us. What stood out most was how human everything felt. Not forced “customer service.” Real care. Jen sat and talked with patrons and you could immediately tell this is a place locals genuinely love. Friends, families, regulars. Everyone seemed comfortable there. They checked in with us based on timing and body language, not because some policy told them to stop by every few minutes. Even the thumbs up from across the room felt personal and warm. We had a chance to talk a little about the restaurant too. Hearing that this was Aaron’s dream and that they’ve been building it together for the last two years honestly made the experience even better. You can feel the passion behind the place. Aaron being a chef and Jen helping build the community side of it makes the whole restaurant feel alive in a way chain restaurants never do. Every time we come to Connecticut, we stop here…usually more than once. Truthfully, places like this are part of why we’ve started looking at Ellington as somewhere we could someday call home, even all the way from Iowa. Good food matters. But being seen as human matters more. Cooley’s Kitchen gave us both. 🧡🐾“

I did want to update my review after seeing there being a complaint about the prices of food. Seeing how *consistent* their prices are is remarkable, and above and beyond that the value is particularly noteworthy.

Altogether from the quality (and *portions*) of the food, to the amazing staff, definitely a place to come to and make a regular stop.“

“This is the store I order from on a average 3-4 times a week, my order is mostly always the same however tonight I placed a order for my kid and husband and I thought I ordered it correctly but this time I actually didn’t! I forgot to hit the bacon button so I called to have the correct order made and even though I ordered it wrong they remade it and delivered it! They didn’t have to remake it cause Im the one that ordered it wrong but Tim had it remade and had it delivered anyways!! “I came here once, and I was impressed at how they changed the inside. The atmosphere looked great. I have yet to try their pizza, but I did buy their fish and chips, and I was not too impressed. I had high expectations because the former restaurant (Angie's) had fantastic fish and chips, and Angie's will always be a part of my childhood. I realize things change, and so do restaurants. I have heard great things about Hebron Pizza, so I didn't want to knock them too hard after one dish, but I did enjoy Angie's a lot and was sad to see them go. The restaurant has constantly changed ownership, so hopefully, now they will stay as is. If the one meal I had was better or just as good as what I had previously, I probably would have given it a 5. Honestly, if I return and they wow me, I will change my rating here.“

“Best pizza taste I have had in a long time, used to go to Vernon Pizza but this place I can get a 2 topping large pizza for $25 and did I mention how yummy it is here?! Several TVs but most of the space is dedicated to a dance floor for live music.The service was ok,the food was above average well made but uninspired. A basic quick bite or stop for a drink that is well priced but simple.“
