Besides a couple minor order glitches, I've always been pleased with the friendly and attentive service, food quality, flavor, freshness, portions and price. I've only been there at pretty quiet times, but there's constant take-out foot traffic regardless of when I go, which is a good sign in my book.“

“I recently started getting pizza here every Friday, the pizza here is delicious I get the white spinach and have never had a better white pizza so fresh and the garlic and spinach perfect, my boyfriend got the bacon pizza and it was perfect also, they crumbled the bacon and there was a generous amount of bacon everything hot and fresh!!“

Food: We got the- 1.Thai Sweet Chile wings were amazing!! The staff said they brine the wings prior to cooking, a detail that I think made a big difference in quality because they were some of the best wings My hubby and I have ever eaten! No fatty half-cooked skin pieces, it was all deliciousness! (Unfortunately no photo because they were devoured so quickly ) 2. The Carini Pizza the staff recommended was perfect! The crust was light and not too thick or thin, right in the middle. This pizza was a garlic aioli base with Genoa salami, hot capicola, Carmelized onions, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, Gorgonzola and mozzarella cheeses. Sooooo good!! I loved that it was a different base than tomato sauce and all the flavors worked together impeccably. Can't wait to eat the leftovers tonight!! It was totally worth stopping here on my drive back to MA! Side note- The pizza and wings totally held up being reheated a couple hours later for dinner. If we lived closer this we definitely be our pizza spot. If you're near Bolton, CT make sure you visit these guys!“

“I was surprised when we got there, looks like a super typical town-y pizza place tucked in a somewhat dingy plaza. The inside is bright, clean, and not at all what I expected. The service was friendly and very fast. There was a steady stream of patrons but staff kept up well, all seemed to be having a good time. The meatballs in vodka sauce were delicious. Fettuccini Carbonara was flavorful and well balanced. I personally would have had more sauce, but I will just request that for next time. Ravioli are huge and generously stuffed. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian experience in an unassuming location.“

“AJ's is a local gem nestled in the center of a plaza right off the main road in Higganum. For those of you traveling back from the beach in the summer, it's a winner. For me, I wanted to visit a new town in CT and pick a place to eat. I'm glad I chose AJ's. When you walk in the main section is set up for takeout with a plexiglass view behind the counter where the pizza is made. To the right is the main seating area if you are choosing to dine in. The seating is casual and has a home like an American diner vibe. If you are looking for good Italian at good price, AJ's is your place. Their menu contains all your standard Italian dishes for dine in and takeout as well as pizza and grinders. The menu is a two-sided page, and there is a separate special sheet given as well. Although I love me some standard Italian dishes, after reading some reviews, I knew that was either going for their grinders or taking a chance on their specials. Welp folks, special it was. They had 3 that week, and I chose to try their Chicken Andouille. This dish consisted of a creamy sauce with chicken, Andouille sausage, capers, and squash mixed into penne pasta. Wow. Delicious. The spicy kick to the sausage gave it a creamy heat, and I loved the nice touch of capers and crunchiness of the squash. The squash was cooked but not overcooked (sometimes it can get mushy, but not the case here). When we went today, the inside was quiet. Just a few tables had people. That's okay with me. It allows me to relax a bit as I eat and enjoy the food. The server was great. She was all smiles and bringing us everything in a timely fashion. If you are driving through Higganum and need a place to grab a lunch or dinner at a reasonable price, check out AJs. You won't regret it.“

Let me start by saying that the selection of pizzas is unmatchable, especially if looking for flavors that might be out of the norm! We tried to Reuben pizza and the loaded French fry pizza and had a hard time deciding which was better- they were both that good! The service is impeccable, we had asked for a side of ranch and it was forgotten, but a server ran out before we left the parking lot to give to us before we left with our pizzas! “I LOVE Da Vincis! I work in town & was struggling to find a place that I liked for lunch. I eat a predominantly plant based diet & love my salads. I don’t like to get take out often, I tried a salad from the pizza place across the street from them once and was quickly disappointed. My coworker then suggested that I look at Da Vincis menu & the Leonardo Salad quickly caught my eye and has since stole my heart. I was a server for many years and I always get nervous asking for substitutions. The staff was so accommodating even though I’m a pain and ask for no cheese on my salad and the addition of a bunch of veggies! From what I hear from my coworkers the rest of their menu is just as delicious including the Mac & Cheese Bites, Baked Chicken Bites, Fried Pickles and Calzones to name a few. From the staff to the food everything is AMAZING! Every Friday I look forward to getting my salad from here“

“I have been to Mulberry Street on many occasions and the food and serving size have always been excellent. Just today I ordered food to take out and noticed a difference in the food. I was just there the other day and ordered the Mulberry salad and it was filled with the pears and all the ingredients listed on the menu. Today there were only 3 small slices of the pears and very little of the other items as well as a smaller portion of salad. It was definitely a disappointment. I guess the only thing to do is to eat at the restaurant and not get takeout,“

“My husband and I have been getting pizza from Rossini's for years. Their vegetarian pizza is loaded with veggies. They have never been skimpy on their toppings like so many places are. Their generous toppings go right to the edge. We have never found it greasy. It is a bit of a drive for us so we do not get there as often as we would like. It is our very favorite pizza! We also get the eggplant calzone. The Calzone is not all dough. It has a thin crust and is loaded with ricotta, mozzarella and eggplant. They also provide a container of sauce. “This is a to go restaurant they do not have seating inside to stay. We enjoy their pizza. Their salads are huge so if it’s just for you definitely get a half they are delicious and well worth it. Their staff is quick and always friendly. I have not used their delivery.“

“I am looking at some of the reviews and I can't believe they are talking about the place we eat once or twice a week. We eat the grinders which are delicious and come with fries which are very well seasoned, or a salad which is always fresh and delicious. Their plain Caesar salad is always fresh and I love their dressing. My grandson gets the chicken quesadilla and the other one gets the chicken tenders. I love the cheeseburger or the ham grinder. We usually order delivery and they are always early. Food is fresh and warm. I don't expect steaming hot when I get delivery. Their calzones are delicious and huge. As I said, we eat here on average twice a week and we wouldn't do that if the food wasn't good and reasonably priced. An 8 inch grinder is $9.50 and a 12 inch is $12 to me that is a bargain.“
