“My husband and I have been getting pizza from Rossini's for years. Their vegetarian pizza is loaded with veggies. They have never been skimpy on their toppings like so many places are. Their generous toppings go right to the edge. We have never found it greasy. It is a bit of a drive for us so we do not get there as often as we would like. It is our very favorite pizza! We also get the eggplant calzone. The Calzone is not all dough. It has a thin crust and is loaded with ricotta, mozzarella and eggplant. They also provide a container of sauce. The staff is always friendly and professional. Love Rossini's! Best pizza ever!“
“I have been to Slice works on many occasions and every time I am met with the best hospitality and professionalism. I have come in for personal dining experiences and also for work . My work dining experiences have included a large party of young adults of all abilities out for lunch learning all about life skill /dining experiences . This restaurant went out of their way each time to make us feel welcome and accepted and took their time making sure everyone everyone had a wonderful experience. “I was surprised when we got there, looks like a super typical town-y pizza place tucked in a somewhat dingy plaza. The inside is bright, clean, and not at all what I expected. The service was friendly and very fast. There was a steady stream of patrons but staff kept up well, all seemed to be having a good time. The meatballs in vodka sauce were delicious. Fettuccini Carbonara was flavorful and well balanced. I personally would have had more sauce, but I will just request that for next time. Ravioli are huge and generously stuffed. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian experience in an unassuming location.“

Besides a couple minor order glitches, I've always been pleased with the friendly and attentive service, food quality, flavor, freshness, portions and price. I've only been there at pretty quiet times, but there's constant take-out foot traffic regardless of when I go, which is a good sign in my book.“

Again, the fish was fresh, flaky and crispy! “Six of us went to Adriatik's for dinner 10 days ago. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening. Our hosts were amiable and helpful, the dining room is comfortable and clean (although it was a bit chilly as we were right near the front window), and the food was quite good with some definite stand outs. Look for the Eggplant appetizer and definitely try their Spanikopita - the best I have ever had! We'll be back!“

“AJ's is a local gem nestled in the center of a plaza right off the main road in Higganum. For those of you traveling back from the beach in the summer, it's a winner. For me, I wanted to visit a new town in CT and pick a place to eat. I'm glad I chose AJ's. When you walk in the main section is set up for takeout with a plexiglass view behind the counter where the pizza is made. To the right is the main seating area if you are choosing to dine in. The seating is casual and has a home like an American diner vibe. If you are looking for good Italian at good price, AJ's is your place. Their menu contains all your standard Italian dishes for dine in and takeout as well as pizza and grinders. The menu is a two-sided page, and there is a separate special sheet given as well. Although I love me some standard Italian dishes, after reading some reviews, I knew that was either going for their grinders or taking a chance on their specials. Welp folks, special it was. They had 3 that week, and I chose to try their Chicken Andouille. This dish consisted of a creamy sauce with chicken, Andouille sausage, capers, and squash mixed into penne pasta. Wow. Delicious. The spicy kick to the sausage gave it a creamy heat, and I loved the nice touch of capers and crunchiness of the squash. The squash was cooked but not overcooked (sometimes it can get mushy, but not the case here). When we went today, the inside was quiet. Just a few tables had people. That's okay with me. It allows me to relax a bit as I eat and enjoy the food. The server was great. She was all smiles and bringing us everything in a timely fashion. If you are driving through Higganum and need a place to grab a lunch or dinner at a reasonable price, check out AJs. You won't regret it.“
“I came here a few days ago with my boyfriend. We had been to the Newington location before. This location is totally different and better. It was busy but we were seated quickly. We ordered a large pizza and some buffalo wings. Our food came quickly. Everything was great! I love this style of pizza. The crust size is perfect. Not too thick , not too thin. The amount of cheese and sauce was great too. It was very lively and there was a little arcade. It would probably be nice to bring kids here. We will definitely come here again.Parking: The parking lot is decent, its not big but its not small either. We came on a Saturday night yet it wasn’t difficult to find parking.“
“I LOVE Da Vincis! I work in town & was struggling to find a place that I liked for lunch. I eat a predominantly plant based diet & love my salads. I don’t like to get take out often, I tried a salad from the pizza place across the street from them once and was quickly disappointed. My coworker then suggested that I look at Da Vincis menu & the Leonardo Salad quickly caught my eye and has since stole my heart. I was a server for many years and I always get nervous asking for substitutions. The staff was so accommodating even though I’m a pain and ask for no cheese on my salad and the addition of a bunch of veggies! From what I hear from my coworkers the rest of their menu is just as delicious including the Mac & Cheese Bites, Baked Chicken Bites, Fried Pickles and Calzones to name a few. From the staff to the food everything is AMAZING! Every Friday I look forward to getting my salad from here“

Gus and Stella are great at what they do, and they are generous people. I am beyond grateful for the meals they provided after my dad passed unexpectedly (the neighborhood is still stunned) so my family and I could focus on arranging the funeral and mourning my dad's death in peace.“

Also they deliver which is wonderful not having to go through an app. The owner is very accommodating and when I say they have the best burger around it's outstanding. I work in a pizza restaurant so that isn't my go to on my time off so I order the burger. Since I've ordered one for my husband and turned friends on to it.
