D’Angelo’s in Vernon, CT. just made one of the worst menu decisions I’ve ever seen. The Rice & Grain Bowls — the items that actually made you different from every other sandwich shop — are gone. The Southwest and Korean BBQ bowls were incredible, and the matching sandwiches were just as good. Now all of them have been removed. We already have plenty of sub shops. What made D’Angelo’s special was the bowls. Without them, you’re just another sandwich place in a sea of sandwich places.
I used to give you five stars. Now it’s one.
Bring back the Rice & Grain Bowls — this “menu experiment” is a huge mistake.“

“Panini was good but the accommodation to me being celiac (Gluten free) was great! They switched to new gloves without asking and when they accidentally touched regular bread they made a whole new panini without even asking. They also wrap the panini in tin foil before pressing. One of the best gluten free experiences I’ve had for a fast food-esque restaurant!“

“I honestly do not understand some of the harsh reviews because my experiences at Subway Bishop Corner have been consistently positive. Every time I stop in, the staff has been polite and focused on getting orders done correctly. I have seen them wash their hands and keep the prep area clean, and the store has always looked neat when I visit.

As for food availability, it is a busy location and sometimes certain meats or items run out later in the evening, which is pretty normal for a place that stays busy. The sandwiches I have ordered have been fresh and well made. They are exactly what I expect from Subway.

Service has been quick during my visits, even when there is a line. The employees seem to be doing their best with what they have, and I have always been greeted in a friendly way. I have also never had issues with being overcharged or treated unfairly. Any time I had a question about pricing or deals, it was explained calmly and clearly.

It is easy to complain about a single bad moment, but judging this location as a whole, I think it deserves more credit. It is a convenient spot with hardworking staff and solid food. I will continue to come here and I recommend giving it a fair chance instead of assuming the worst based on a few negative experiences!!!“

“I haven't been to Blimpie in a very long time. They basically disappeared over the years. But I'm at sure glad I stopped in today.
The young man working was very polite. He made some great suggestions when I asked him what he recommended. He said the Italian sub wouldn't disappoint, and he wasn't lying! He sliced the meats fresh for my sandwich (what sub chain does that!?!). And the price point is where it's at! This is a hidden gem. Forget the other sub shops, go out of your way to come here instead!

There were few people ahead of me but the kid on the line moved them in and out I didn't really wait at all, and the girl on the register was up selling and ring them out just as fast.I was ordering for my brother with special needs and He just Loves the Ham and Cheese Grinder with a little this and a little bit of that. Me I'm Steak and Cheese Tomato Wrap guy I like to load it up with Double Meat extra cheese 2 kinds. “I love subway. To be honest I eat here a lot more than I should, but the new revamped subway is killing if! I love how everything is more fresh and healthy. The tuna subs are my go to. I literal die for a tuna sandwich every other week or so. If your looking to get loaded up with as much veggies, and other toppings for your sandwich (if your a sandwich lover or extraordinaire like myself I wouldn’t say subway makes the best sandwich’s but for something that’s located literally every there I’d say it’s worth it) I love the atmosphere when I walk in the music is just right and the wood from the floors is clean and smells like pine sol. (Keep in mind it doesn’t always smell this way) but hey nothing last forever. Except for the taste of that delicious sandwich as I wish for more do that sweet onion teriyaki sauce. The only thing complain about is the amount of bums outside it’s not just one it’s multiple asking for money or to buy them something it’s actually pretty annoying and some of them are disrespectful.
