“Yes, I am giving a five star review to a Subway. Others may be good, but we have literally driven by others to go to this one. The store is always spotless, the staff is pleasant, and they don’t skimp on the food. Got a BMT last week and the gent making my sandwich didn’t like the look of the cucumbers, pulled the whole can and got fresh ones. Not the usual ‘dig til you find some that look passable.’“

“Decided to give Jersey Mike’s a try and see what all the hype was about. Let me tell you…THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I had a simple Turkey with lettuce and tomato, but elevated to the 10th degree. My mom got the Portebella Cheesesteak and she absolutely LOVED it! We’ll be back for sure!“

“I was in a few weeks ago and the only reason why I’m giving it an overall 5 star rating is because of the employee that was there I believe his name was Mike. For starters everything was spotless, on the outside not so much the building needs a lot of work! But Mike, He was very personable. As soon as I walked in he put a smile on my face. Why? He greeted me very enthusiastically and didn’t give me the cold shoulder of just a simple “Hi” like the other ones that work there. He even asked me how my day was going, in today’s world where ever you go people have such a sour attitude. We need more people like Mike in the world. I haven’t been to this subway in a while but I will definitely be coming back when Mike is there. Whoever the owners are, Mike is a keeper, great customer service. “Incredible food and the owners are some of the most friendly and down to earth people I've ever met. Highly recommend the Mac Attack and the Empire State Chopper, both are fantastic and delicious.

“Panini was good but the accommodation to me being celiac (Gluten free) was great! They switched to new gloves without asking and when they accidentally touched regular bread they made a whole new panini without even asking. They also wrap the panini in tin foil before pressing. One of the best gluten free experiences I’ve had for a fast food-esque restaurant!“

“I honestly do not understand some of the harsh reviews because my experiences at Subway Bishop Corner have been consistently positive. Every time I stop in, the staff has been polite and focused on getting orders done correctly. I have seen them wash their hands and keep the prep area clean, and the store has always looked neat when I visit.

As for food availability, it is a busy location and sometimes certain meats or items run out later in the evening, which is pretty normal for a place that stays busy. The sandwiches I have ordered have been fresh and well made. They are exactly what I expect from Subway.

Service has been quick during my visits, even when there is a line. The employees seem to be doing their best with what they have, and I have always been greeted in a friendly way. I have also never had issues with being overcharged or treated unfairly. Any time I had a question about pricing or deals, it was explained calmly and clearly.

It is easy to complain about a single bad moment, but judging this location as a whole, I think it deserves more credit. It is a convenient spot with hardworking staff and solid food. I will continue to come here and I recommend giving it a fair chance instead of assuming the worst based on a few negative experiences!!!“

“It's good filling and fast. The resurant is very clean. Staff were friendly and efficient. Even with a line, there was no waiting. Fast stop for a good lunch. The resurant is hidden in the back of the building.

“I Love This Subway Location, By Far One of the Best. There were few people ahead of me but the kid on the line moved them in and out I didn't really wait at all, and the girl on the register was up selling and ring them out just as fast.I was ordering for my brother with special needs and He just Loves the Ham and Cheese Grinder with a little this and a little bit of that. Me I'm Steak and Cheese Tomato Wrap guy I like to load it up with Double Meat extra cheese 2 kinds. “11/09/24- I stopped by after work heading to the hotel and George was on duty. He was busy, but immediately acknowledged me and went to wash up and came back happy.

We discussed the subs and he recommended #34 Spcy Nachos Steak. He added the way it says, but without green 🫑, extra jalapeños.

This is day two experience and I don’t know if previous reviews were out of anger because I have had great customer service.

11/08/24- I haven’t been to a Subway in years and today I stopped by for the $6.99 special. I walked in and was loudly greeted by Ilvin who was friendly and made me feel like I’m an old customer. He made all the customers feel comfortable and happy to be there.

Subway has so many new meals I asked Ilvin about the different subs. Ilvin did not seem put out and he went over the breads, the meats and all the toppings. He made it easy to order but hard to choose 😋

I ordered #23 Hotshot Italiano Sub based on his recommendation and it did not disappoint because I enjoyed every bite.

He wasn’t stingy with the jalapeños and he added just enough sauce that it didn’t make the bread soggy.

Ilvin explained how to earn points. If he isn’t the manager he is manager material with his positive attitude. I asked about the other guy in the back and Ivin said they are a team. I was impressed he spoke well of his staff.

I leave in a week, but I may start eating a new subway every day thanks to Ilvin and my great experience! Ya Sabes! 😎

Kid-friendliness: I am sure they have a sub for every kid. If the kid is picky or not, chubby or thin there’s a sub on the menu for them.“

“I hadn't been back in about 3 years to the Northeast so one of the first things I did was get me a good sandwich. I got the Godfather on the everything bread. I highly recommend you get the pesto aioli with it it's a game changer over the mayonnaise. Sandwich was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely get it one more time before I go back home!“

I really think you’re fine story because it is on the second floor of a tall building in Hartford called city place1 i’m the elevator fan so me and my grandfather ride the elevators at city place every time we stop to come by the restaurant.“

“My family and I frequented the Jersey Mike's on Kane Street several times during the month of March 2026, in support of Special Olympics! I must say, I have become a Big Fan! “If you’re getting a sandwich here, do yourself a favor and *ALWAYS*A ask for the Sandwich Mamma! You’ll know who I’m talking about - she’s the one who puts that extra love and care into every sub. Every time, without fail, my sandwich is a masterpiece. I don’t know how she does it, but she’s got sandwich-making down to a science! “Good place the workers are fast and efficient. They also change their gloves frequently. The prep station is clean and the meats and veggies are fresh. The only thing complain about is the amount of bums outside it’s not just one it’s multiple asking for money or to buy them something it’s actually pretty annoying and some of them are disrespectful. Why are they allowed to be on the premises? pan handling is illegal. But other than that the food and service is good.“

“The subway in Portland, Connecticut is pretty much the only good subway in my whole area. Subway used to be the best fast food place, but they have all gone downhill. And this one in Portland is great because all the vegetables are fresh. The people that work there are not only friendly, but are very helpful and genuine. And no other subways are this good. This has been a long-standing subway and I come here as often as I can.“

“I love subway. To be honest I eat here a lot more than I should, but the new revamped subway is killing if! I love how everything is more fresh and healthy. The tuna subs are my go to. I literal die for a tuna sandwich every other week or so. If your looking to get loaded up with as much veggies, and other toppings for your sandwich (if your a sandwich lover or extraordinaire like myself I wouldn’t say subway makes the best sandwich’s but for something that’s located literally every there I’d say it’s worth it) I love the atmosphere when I walk in the music is just right and the wood from the floors is clean and smells like pine sol. (Keep in mind it doesn’t always smell this way) but hey nothing last forever. Except for the taste of that delicious sandwich as I wish for more do that sweet onion teriyaki sauce. Ohh man. 5 stars!“

“This review would have been very different if I did not get in touch with the manager on duty (Jermaine). I appreciate your understand and quick resolution of the issue that had came up yesterday. Today's sandwich was delicious and just how I would like to enjoy. Jermaine you are great but I had to edit this post because I am on my 4th bite and found a long brown hair in my sandwich! Just called back and your shift had ended I appreciate all you have tried to do for me to resolve my first issue.... I would recommend hair nets or hats especially to those with longer hair“

“I've never had an issue with this specific store. It's a small Subway, but the guy that works there is extremely kind and friendly and the food comes out as it should. I only go to subway if I'm working a fast paced day and this one is absolutely fine.

Get the sandwich meal of the day and have a healthier, cheaper meal than going to other fast food places.“
