I also had ordered from DoorDash and I was craving crispy chicken instead of grilled but there was no option to substitute. I called the store directly and asked them if they could accommodate me, and they did! I know it was probably a pain in the butt, so I was thankful they accommodated my picky request. “The Shipwright's Daughter came highly recommended to us by locals we had talked with while vacationing in Mystic, and it did not disappoint. We booked a reservation for 7:15pm on a Saturday evening, and we were seated promptly at 7:15. From the hosts initial greeting, to our server first introducing herself at the table, every staff member made us feel welcomed. It was lovely. The cocktail my girlfriend ordered and the local draft I ordered were both outstanding. Our appetizers of Oysters on the Half Shell and a Yellowfin Tar Tar served on a Potato Pavé, were both so delicious, full of flavor, and beautiful. Our entrees consisted of the Zucchini Bucatini and the Duck Confit special, and both came out perfect. The seasoning, the cook of the duck, the plating were all immaculate. It's very clear the staff takes pride in their work, and make sure the guests have an outstanding experience. We finished with dessert, a Plum Sorbet Pavlova with a Peach Reduction, an Espresso Martini, and an Irish Coffee. We were finished with our meal and drinks and on our way by 8:20pm. All in all, it was the best experience I've had in a restaurant. The meals were phenomenal, the staff was top tier ( I apologize I can not remember our waitresses name, but she was outstanding), and the overall experience was more than I could have hoped for. If you are traveling to the mystic area, and you want to have an outstanding dining experience, this is the place for it“

“My wife and I went here for one of the stops on our honeymoon. The golf cart ride from the remote parking lot was relaxing. We had a water front seat It was absolutely breathtaking. The food was amazing the waiter was friendly and took time to answer any questions we had. We will be back one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve been to.“

“I can not begin to describe the amazing experience we just had at this place. we went for brunch today. the three of us decided to try the bloody specials they had.. all truly unique. one was Italian with meat and cheese. there was a seafood one with ceviche and shrimp cocktail and the last was one with 2 large pork bellies on the side.. amazing!! we ordered 3 different entrees so we could all share. the smoked salmon frittata. wow! smokey..light.. creamy.. so perfect. next were chicken and mushroom crepes. holy crap! unbelievable!! the last was a steak sandwich where the beef just fell apart! outstanding! my friend had asked about a menu item that had been previously on the menu that she loved and they went out of their way to make it for us!! our dessert was a mimosa with purple corn and cinnamon.. unlike anything I have ever had before! “A culinary delight! I took my family to Oyster Club on a Saturday evening after some shopping in Mystic and had a wonderful experience. The oyster happy hour was fantastic. As a raw oyster enthusiast, I was elated at the quality and price. I had a dozen oysters myself and had to stop myself from getting more- they were SO GOOD! The blackfish I had for dinner was excellent. The ramp hummus was a real highlight. For dessert, we had the maple ice cream which was the most delicious ice cream I have ever had. It was a real treat to come here. You can tell that the food is made with heart and served with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. I’ll definitely be back soon.“
