“I recently had the pleasure of enjoying some food from Encabto Scoop at the Docks Restaurant for an event, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal! The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the amazing birria tacos. Each taco was bursting with flavor, featuring tender, juicy meat that was perfectly seasoned and paired wonderfully with fresh toppings. Another standout dish was the pastelón, which was simply divine. This delightful Puerto Rican casserole, made with layers of sweet plantains, savory ground beef, and melted cheese, was a true comfort food at its best. The sweetness of the plantains perfectly balanced the richness of the meat, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left everyone craving more. The texture was spot-on, with the plantains providing a soft yet slightly crispy layer that made each bite a joy. The street corn was another favorite. “I came in 7 minutes before they closed, told them I knew it was late and was fine if they just wanted to go home, as I could only imagine the frustration of someone last minute. They said it was okay and took my order, nothing big just two items and verified with them it was alright to be ordering extras like fries that late. Turns out they had two people call out and so it seemed to just be 3 of them holding down the fort. Anyways tipped them in cash and thanked them. As for the food?
Burger? BOMB.
Fries? BOMB.

Don’t come in late like I did though, they don’t deserve that, tip them they definitely deserve that.

“It's a McDonald's and it's what you expect. You should really try the hamburgers and the fries. If you're still hungry try to shake. And if you're really bored go through the drive-in and try that out. Then you can eat in your car and it will smell like the restaurant for the next two days so you can remember the meal you had. One thing I do suggest is to use their app. You can certainly get a healthy discount every time you go when you use it“

“Wendy’s will always have a soft spot in my heart. Their food is consistently made, marginal at best. You get fries in Southington, CT and Niantic, CT they taste exactly the same. Unfortunately, their frosty machine is constantly broken. I highly recommend the management of this establishment invest in better machinery to allow for us frosty and fry junkies to take care of our fix. Also, if someone asks for no cheese on a burger and it’s listed as such on your computer before checkout, be sure to have your staff look at it before putting said order in it’s fine paper package. Fast food pricing has increased so much, it’s hard not to patron an actual sit down restaurant as the prices are basically the same. $35 for a takeout fast food meal seems steep.“

“In a lapse in judgement I took my daughters and 7 friends for a sleepover at the casino. Of course they wanted Chik Fil A for dinner. I dreaded going up to the counter and profusely apologized to Jon. “I am so sorry bro, I’m about to mess up your entire night.” Jon stared me dead in the eye and said “Bring it” I rapid fired orders at him, Nuggies, milkshake, lemonades, fries, lots of sauce, oh and someone here is allergic to cherries. Jon got the order out to me insanely quick. It’s like he saw the fear in my eyes of having to be tasked with feeding 9 feral and ravenous children. He painstakingly took extra care to ensure the vanilla milkshake did not encounter even a hint of cherry. I grabbed the bag and mentally prepared myself that food was missing. I was willing to accept this fact as penance for my ridiculously large order on a Friday night. But here’s the thing…. It was all there! The entire order was correct. Jon is the man. John with an H was pretty cool too. Thanks for being great at your job and making life easier for an outnumbered and exhausted mom tonight.“

“Excellent food for the price, it was cheap but it was delicious. The daily specials are always something delicious and the customer service is always on point. One thing I personally like is the "secret menu" that they are developing. The staff members are always friendly and my food did not take long to be prepared from when it was ordered.“

“I've always loved going to Jersey Mike's because rheir food is so good but yesterday was different. I ordered online and when I got home after a very long day at work my order was completely wrong. I ordered a number 17 and whatever I got had buffalo sauce which I clearly didn't ask for. when I called they offered for me to go back the same night and they'll remake it but it was late and I didn't want to have to drive all the way back. I was so disappointed because I've never had an issue with them before.“

“My husband and I came to Mystic for a few days. The first day it rained all day and all night. For dinner we just wanted to pick up some sandwiches and return to our hotel room. We went to this Subway and ordered two meatball parm sandwiches with fresh mozzarella. The owner was very friendly and made us the most delicious sandwiches, fresh, toasted and lots of sauce. We returned the next day and picked up some sandwiches for lunch. We found this location clean, fully stocked with everything and we had the cookies which were fresh baked and delicious! We highly recommend stopping in and having a sandwich there!“

“It was a random Sunday and my daughter and I needed something for dinner. We normally frequent the Groton CT location but we ventured here today. When we walked in the place was empty but so clean! All the tomatoes and other condiments were filled nice and high and looked fresh. The two gentlemen assisting us were super friendly and helpful! Seriously one of the best experiences here!“
