“Talk about a fantastic hot dog. This 1950s style diner is famous for their 10 inch hot dogs for good reason. The hot dog itself has tons of flavor and can be served with numerous toppings. I recommend adding cheese which they melt between the bun and the hot dog so it's almost like it's wrapped in grilled cheese! The parking lot has picnic tables for the summer time and the staff is friendly. It is cash only but there is an atm inside!“

“I have nothing but rave reviews for the 1741 Pub & Grill. I had never visited before and was very impressed with the presentation of the dining room. The wait staff were congenial, pleasant and wonderful and accommodating. The menu was outstanding and the best Valentine's Day experience I have ever had. Large menu including a variety of dogs, burgers, sausage burgers, and various other grilled items. Clean dinning room and quick service. I went at 1:00PM and there was no line.“

“I usually do deliveries from here so tonight I decided to try it because the wing deliveries always smell so good! There's so many choices of sauces. Extensive menu. The chicken fried rice, OMG, it's now my new favorite, and the teriyaki wings were amazing! It's mainly takeout but there are 2 little tables and some stool seats along the window counter. The person usually manning the front is really really nice. I give it 5 stars for service, price, and food. I'll definitely be ordering again. Going to try boneless next time. “We stopped at Ilianos because the other place we had planned to dine at was closed for some reason. They gave us complimentary pizza slices to try, bread with our meals, and the portions were huge, enough to have dinner the next day! The food was all good as well and the server was very nice!“

“Who knew this local bar has a legit Taco Tuesday!??Located on West Main St in Meriden is Maloney's Pub. Sad to say I have lived here for 20+ years and just started going to this establishment. I was missing out. Bar staff is very nice, provide good service. Drink prices are reasonable and they have mostly any liquor you want. If they don't they will order it for the next time you go! I knew they served food but general go after the kitchen is closed (after 10pm). I went on a Tuesday and overheard someone ordering tacos. I ordered 2 chicken tacos. So good! The ingredients were so fresh and chicken was seasoned perfectly. I am a huge fan of salsa verde and this was the best I've had. Tacos were $2 a piece & draft beers are $3 on Tuesday. Good food, cheap night!“

“This Dairy Queen Has stood here for over 40 years, I remember going there in the summer time when across the street was Stop N Shop back in the late 70s. “My girlfriend and I order from Gino’s several times a week and it’s the best pizza place in the area. There’s many different menu options and the food and service is always fantastic. The pizza is always good and we love the steak & chicken cheesesteak subs. The fries and onions rings are always crispy. We’ve tried several different wraps and they’re all great. The sweet teriyaki wings are our favorite. Even the pasta dishes are delicious, I would definitely recommend the Fettuccine Alfredo w/ Chicken. “Nicely renovated. I stop here on my way back from Middletown most times. The only thing I would prefer is the option to pick up mobile orders through the drive thru. I go to the vet in Middletown every 6 months minimum and place a mobile order when I leave to pick up on the way back. Because I have to go inside to pick it up I end up leaving my ferret in the car, locking the doors, and remote starting from outside the car so he is safe and comfortable for the few minutes it takes me to run inside.Parking: Decent number of spots along the front of the building.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu, burgers and ice cream.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots right in front of the door with access to the sidewalk. The doors are a little heavy and large which might cause difficulty.“
