“From the moment I walked through the door until I left I may have had the best experience ordering food out. This place by far had the friendliest staff with knowledge and help to get you through their ordering process. My first time in and I didn’t feel rushed every worker was smiling and every single person I spoke to said hello. Now the food I ordered the chicken and beef combo absolutely amazing 5 stars all the way and I’m not easily satisfied when it comes to eating dinner out. After ordering I left on my way home I realized I had someone in my party with a food allergy I called the store and immediately they went in the back to check the ingredients on one of the sauces lucky for my family member they could still eat the food and I did not need to go somewhere else. “My neighbor mentioned to me that he and his wife were going to lunch at Pete’s and said he was bringing his in laws. He and his in laws raved about the food. My neighbor said the roast beef (made in house) grinder was amazingly great. That’s my favorite, so I stopped by Pete’s a couple days ago and got the roast beef grinder with provalone cheese, mayo, roasted and banana peppers, shedded lettuce and tomato. It was sooo good that I had to go back in to let them know. Come to find out Pete’s dad made me the grinder. What a nice man!!! Talked to him for a few minutes. But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

“We're traveling through CT on our way home and stopped into the Meriden location for a late lunch. We were warmly greeted by both front of house guys, got a fun bell ring and a "Gratzie!" for our 20% tip. Our veggie sandwich was delicious, great bread, and the perfect amount of dressing. Our chicken caesar was fresh and tasty. Used the bathroom before we left and it was very clean and smelled nice! If we were local we'd be there all the time.“

“We stopped here for lunch on the way to Boston from nyc. Fresh and delicious food. The staff were so warm. We had the chicken gyro, grilled veggies, fries, and pizza. Everything was delicious. Much better than stopping for fast food. It’s connected to the pizza place so you can order from both at once. Yasin was a very sweet server and made us feel so welcome.

“Our family has been to many different pizza places but for some reason uptowns pizza is one of the best pizza pies around especially if you add mushrooms.Not only is the pizza amazing but we get the honey bbq wings with the bone and ranch dressing instead of blue cheese and it blows your mind it is so good the chicken is tender and the skins not grisly it is cooked perfectly. “Now usually I don't leave a review but this pizza house deserves one 100% there crust was great ,not burned or air pocketed but golden brown with a nice crunch . Their sausage was actually Italian sausage broken up not like that cardboard disc sausage. The pie had a great sauce and the flavor overall was great . Hosted by a great team and very friendly. You have to give them a try . They get an easy 5 star from me and deserve it.“
