“This restaurant is one of my happy places. Not good for takeout, but great for dine-in. The drinks are tasty, but be careful as they are strong. Definitely not skimping on the alcohol/tequila in their pours. I usually go with the taco platter, which comes with four different tacos, of which the pork is the best (pork has an impressive smokey flavor). Would call this casual, but it's New Canaan so it's still a bit upscale feeling, but overall a pretty straightforward, no frills, tasty Mexican restaurant.“

“This is our favorite food truck ever in Norwalk. It is so authentic and delicious. The people are so so nice who on the truck. In the winter months you can order your taco sit in your car while you wait so you don't freeze and then the people will call you over when your food is ready. They do have a picnic table right outside of the food truck but other than that people usually eat in their cars or bring the tacos home if you're nearby, you should definitely go and get some because this place is awesome and super casual.“

In terms of variance, yes — it does offer a more diverse food selection. In terms of taste + QUANTITY, I can get more food (that tastes equally as good) at Chipotle. My advice to the owner is to weight what a normal Bubbakoo bowl vs a Chipotle bowl. In no world should the Bubbakoo bowl weigh less. After all, Chipotle is the more trusted brand. I personally felt like I could get better value at Chipotle. I’ll give Bubbakoo the edge on cleanliness and service. The staff is nicer, but I’m here for the food.“

“You know, I have been looking for a great place to get a burrito. Typically they are just rice and beans, and tend to be underwhelming. But at Taco Tequila, I was surprised. I went for lunch, and our waiter, also likely the owner, did a great job of explaning some of the menu and with some questions we had. I went with some wings (buffalo) and the burrito (against my better judgement). The wings were great. They were hot and cooked well, and flavored well. They may not have been the BEST wings I have had, but you wouldn't expect that at a place that specializes in tacos. The burrito was excellent, pastor with pineapple. It was large, with cheese, rice, beans, pico. The lunch special came with tortilla chips, and they laid out 4 sauces including sour cream on the table. The ranch option, green and red salsas were a nice addition to make the burrito even more amazing. It was a great burrito, and hit the spot. It was a nice option to have so close by, and I look forward to paying them another visit!“

The guacamole is outstanding. The only food item that fell short was the short rib taco. The meat was great, but under-seasoned, even with the spicy au jus that accompanied it. So kinda bland. We did not sample any of the cocktails given that it was lunch, but the cocktail menu looked interesting. However, one of my friends has been there for cocktails and said the margaritas are not very potent. The service was prompt and sweet. The downside of the restaurant is its size. The interior seating is pretty cramped and the chairs and benches are uncomfortable. Go on a nice day and sit outside, it will be much better (but I'm not sure what they do in the winter?). Anyway, we enjoyed it and will go back.“
